HST Chapter of the Week 22

Each chapter this week has topped the last in a clear manner (although given how popular the last Naruto chapter was I'm not sure that's entirely true). Be sure to vote and whatnot.

Last Week's Results:
1. Naruto 545 "An Immortal Army!!" - 13 Votes
2. Bleach 454 "Sheathebreaker" - 2 Votes
3. One Piece 630 "Lashing Out" - 1 Vote
4. 3-Way Tie - 0 Votes

Poll organizer's note: Looks like NBT's provided the second vote for One Piece, meaning its current count has now topped last week's. Considering how good this chapter was, though, I'm surprised it simply isn't getting more votes.

Wierd, I thought this week's were better. Gaara VS His father who possesses a new Kekkei Genkai element, Ichigo vows to kill Tsukishima while his friends and allies all turn against him, and the princes who swore to uptake Otohime's will are fighting the people who are trying to destroy years of progress from that.

I found Bleach to be the most intense chapter, and actually found One Piece to be above Naruto in that factor. Bleach was probably the most emotionally intense since Ichigo has decided to kill someone for hurting his friends without the knowledge that killing Tsukishima will make anything better and the possibility that it might even ruin his life.

Honestly, Bleach is really slow in my eyes. All that happened was that Ichigo ran up a flight of stairs. That's about as exciting as it got...

Naruto this week.

he attacked tsukishima and caught him off guard how is him running up the stairs the only exciting thing ? plenty of interesting stuff happened it has been for the past 3 weeks

Because the arm getting cut off wasn't interesting. Ichigo's a good character and the fights in Bleach are awesome, so an arm getting cut off is small scale to what could be happening. No where near as interesting as gold dust against sand and Gaara against his father. Not a chance.

Gaara fighting his father is interesting, but Ichigo fighting his friends will probably be just as interesting. His friends wouldn't be turning against him if they knew the truth about Tsukishima and if they remembered that he himself had attacked them both. Instead they're defending the guy. The difference between that fight and Gaara VS His Father is that Ichigo will be losing a bond that doesn't have to be lost because of Tsukishima and Gaara will be fighting over a bond he and his father never had because of his father's terrible actions.

At this point, Ichigo could potentially lose his friends as a result of killing Tsukishima and may accidentally hurt them in the process of trying to fight him. Not to say that makes it better than Naruto, but the interest of this week's Naruto chapter is more of a different type. The Kages of the past generations are fighting their successors and students and Kages who we don't yet know well are revealing new and interesting powers and abilities that make the fighting and conflict a true spectacle. Plus, those we do know are expanding what we know of their jutsu, making their impact on the story more heavy with the weight of their previous influence upon them.

It's probably not inaccurate to say there's more to talk about for Naruto than there is for Bleach. At the moment, though, Naruto is in the stages of the Fourth Great Ninja War Arc and its definite final arc of the series, whereas Bleach presents the feel of heading towards the climax of another story arc as opposed to its entire series.

Naruto. Though I didn't really like any of the other HST chapters this week to be completely honest. They were boring to me. >.>

I don't see how Bleach was boring. Ichigo cut off Tsukishima's arm and is now going to fight his two best friends.

Naruto was great. Do want more fights.

Bleach was great. Hope Kubo can keep with the awesome.

One Piece was not so great. Let's hurry up with this fishman arc.
