Lighting Blade vs Chidori

Lightning Blade is a more concentrated and enhanced version of Chidori. The Chidori looks like a mass of electricity, and Lightning Blade is more focused. But really, they're basically the same thing.

Sasuke can learn Lightning Blade if Kakashi taught him.

Kakashi used Chidori as a child, but developed it into Lightning Blade.

yeah, but kakashi also says that raikiri is just a honed, ultra concentrated, s-rank version of chidori, and that it has same drawbacks

i think people separating the two based on appearance is pure stupidity. no two people use the same move in exactly the same manner kakashi has not only used it for longer but actually developed the jutsu. therefor experience would say that hes better at using it. being able to condense and focus is better is something that comes with experience the same way being able to use a sword better comes with experience. any idiot can swing a sword, someone whose trained with one can swing it faster, with more accuracy and power, and also utilize it better via forms and techniques.

lightning blade IS chidori no matter what way you look at it. one is simply a rookie's version of it. their the same jutsu formed in the same way under the same conditions with the same effects. in part one kakashi himself called the jutsu chidori when sasuke first used it and called it chidori when he first used it during the chronicles. lightning blade is nothing more then a moniker from his fabled feat of cutting a lightning bolt that kakashi has taken a liking to. to call it different because of appearance is stupid unless your making a direct reference to it's appearance. For example the giant rasengan is nothing more then rasengan with more chakra so it's bigger and stronger. in essence their the same jutsu one is just enhanced and this is expressly distinguished. say you have two people using fireball jutsu, one person just happens to make a bigger fireball it's the same jutsu one of them just put more power into it. sasuke's chidori is just wilder then kakashi's with a multitude of possible reasons for it.

for people that want to argue against the possibility of it being due to experience since he's used it for a few years now mabye it has something to do with the way they control their chakra. mabye sasuke's very chakra is just wilder and more violent then kakashi's which from what i've read is a very high possibility. mabye sasuke just doesn't bother to "focus" it or mabye he puts more power into it resulting in the wilder image. remember kakashi has relatively mediocre chakra levels compared to most of the high teirs so he often fights reserving chakra and using only what's necessary. sasuke doesn't have that problem and can likely put more into everything he does then kakashi.

Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is more focused and blue.
