Separating the forces is a breat method to classify each people's skills besides they have an division that specializes in all fields of combat, Mifune's division, and they have that division scattered in a long line to assisst all the other 4 divisions.

Also they ahve the long range division formed close to the base as a defense wall from preventing enemy forces from passing through which is smart of anything to have an division of long range fighters as a first line of defense for the homefront. Next they have the short range and mid range division seperated by the Special Ops division to assisst those division as well the close to mid range division which is to support the ambush party.

They have the ambush party ambush the incoming forces to weaken and have the division that specializes in close to mid range to finish them thus weakening them. They have the divisions formed into an square so if some troops slip past the first division it will have to deal with 3 divisions and if tehy past them the long range division awaits them. Basically the enemy can be trapped in a network of divisions waiting to take them down. Not only that they have Byakugan users in the close range division to help make up for their lack of range so they can sense incoming enemies and with Kitsuchi and his powerful earth style to prepare for an attack like they did with the Zetsu ambush.

However, the plan isn't going as plan since the ambush really didn't have that much of an effect however if Kankuro's party lost to Deidara's party the alliance would've suffer critical damage and also because of Kinkaku. Though some says he sucks he nearly obliterated Darui's division to the point they needed allies from 3 divisions all at once.

Long range division and close to mid range division are taking heavy damage and Shikaku needs to come up with a new plan to turn the tides in some way or Choji....can handle it.

Kinkaku's suckiness comes from being a terribly written character.

Not to mention the returns of many of our favorite deceased characters and introductions of some (not all) previously unknown characters.

I think Zetsu's mission here is to eliminate the Feudal Lord. Not sure though.

I'm really not sure who will backstab who first... It's hard to say. Madara need Kabuto and if he attacks, he has that one mysterious coffin to use to his advantage as well as his "trump card" he's saving specifically for Madara that he stated earlier.

Kabuto attacking Madara...? Highly unlikely in my opinion. If he does, I think he'll just turn all of the Edo Tensei's on him to buy time for his hidden technique.

Overall, the war is interesting, but it doesn't jump around enough... There's too much focus on one specific unit. We haven't heard from Kakashi's unit again after he defeated Zabuza... We haven't seen the previous Kages take on Gaara's unit yet. We haven't even seen any of the Jinchuriki's yet...

Also, the zombies are going down too easily. One blow took out Asuma. One blow took out Hanzo. Deidara is already out of the picture. The only one that went down with purpose were Sasori and Zabuza. I still want Kisame revived as well...

They would be better if there wasn't the whole "Taboo" silliness to them.

They should just be Nine Tail rip offs that kill a whole bunch of people.

Kinkaku and Ginkaku were based of Journey to the West. The author has put mythology into the manga many times before, so he probably included the Kin-Gin bros for that reason. They were more out of place than most of the others, but I will say I found the fight enjoyable. It showcased Darui's talent and ended up giving Kakuzu more history, so that's something. I personally believe the brothers had some connection to Madara in the past. Madara hated the Senju and the Kin-Gin bros tried to kill Tobirama Senju twice.

It is an interesting equation, ain't it? I really want to know what the fan does. Unfortunately, I also want to see Kakashi go nuts. I fear those two things won't appear in the same chapter.

I feel uneasy about the whole fan thing, actually. Tenten has been stiffed so many times that I don't know whether Kishi will even get back to it while it still has relevance. Worse, we could find out that Tenten has been downgraded into a liability because of the fan. That would suck.

That was a shining spot, although Gedo Mazo looks too much like his name sounds, at least in that last shot... Just don't like the way it was drawn. It looked better in chapter 447.
