Why should they earn their spots back again? they've shown their worthy, what's the point? Also infractions... Don't even go there.

I will only say this. As long as it is only a reset of rep, and starting at zero, I cant object much more to it.
Don't reset the posts.
Don't set a limit on how much rep power
I don't care anymore. This is, in the end, too much arguing over rep.

We need infraction history to determine how to give infractions, and what to give etc.

Who is to say, that when this reset is made, that the current Top Ten won't be up repped constantly and gain their normal status back, while those who had little rep, would have none and are left kissing the dust?

That's pretty much my point, Wooster. Those who have high rep will get it back regardless, and those who have little rep will loose it for good.

In conclusion: the exact opposite of what "the goal" is supposed to be. Higher ups will rise even more high and mighty among normal users. That's not fair.

That is illogical. Under your supposition, we will be back to where we started; thus, no change. Besides the more rep inflation the greater the disparities. Reset rep will thus result in more churning and mixing of placement of everyone. In another year or two perhaps we would be back where we are now, but the rep can then be reset before that.

This is a ridiculous statement. And it only furthers what I have been saying this whole time. The terms and agreements are for rules and crap. But we do have right to our opinion and to go to another forum if we wish. WITHOUT members there is no forum! New members, old members...This has gotten completely ridiculous. I am fighting for my rep and post counts because I feel I deserve them. I know lots of ppl who feel that way. AND as for the comment Wooster made about how the less rep ppl are fighting to keep it the way it is, and the "top ten" don't care...well there is your answer right there. They have so much rep...that it isn't that big of deal. What about ppl with barely any rep. They have to start all over again. AND t J-Sun some ppl might NOT be here in a year, some of us might.

How about setting a limit on rep to like 50 after the reset, and everytime someone makes it, they get a little star.

That way maintainability would be great.
