Is Itachi Uchiha Dead or Alive? (Debate)

In my personal opinion i believe Itachi Uchiha is not dead. Although we see that Itachi gave both Naruto and Sasuke some sort of power, i do not feel that he has fully passed on to the next world. Yes although Kabuto uses his World Ressurection jutsu and we see that he summons the fallen akatsuki (including Itachi). I'am still very skeptical. Just at the fact alone that Itachi is probably the greatest Shinobi ever. And is the greatest Sharringan and Genjutsu user in the History! of all Uchiha's. Madara Uchiha even cowers in fear of Itachi's great powers. Yes he may have been sick, and some might say that his death was necessary for Sasuke to unlock his Mangeckyo (dont mind spelling im in a rush). But as some of you might have seen in the Sage Naruto vs. Akatsuki Sasuke OVA when we see Sasuke's eyes, we hear a baby crying. My theory is: that it is the rebirth of Itachi in his eyes. Now nobody hate on me for my theory, im just here for a good old fashioned debate. Now if anybody can give me some hardcore evidence that he is officially dead, please post. Otherwise there is still a great possibility that he is still alive. LONG LIVE ITACHI UCHIHA!

I think he could be reborn, like since those birds flew into naruto, or whatever it means a part of him is there with him, also that means it could manifest on narutos chakra right? idk maybe im just looking for a reason hes still alive since im in denial, lol

now that kakashi and that other guy and naruto know what Itachi did, there will always be a part of him around I think. Maybe they will tell legends of him

I agree that Itachi is the greatest shinobi ever, but Im afraid that in order for him to be the greatest shinobi, he also needs the cloak of the tragic hero. Him not having died would pull the carpet out from under the significance of his deeds, and the weight of his sacrifices.

Kabuto used a jutsu to bring him back and some other people like Deidara, Kimimaru, Asuma, I think Chiyo. And some others. But now in the anime, he is dead, in the manga, he is alive. Just saying.

Yes, he has to be dead for this jutsu to work. Kabuto explained they must be in the pure world (which is why the previous Hokages aren't available to him) and he must have their DNA. He wouldn't be able to use impure world ressurection on him if he was alive.
