Most of you, at least from what I see, want to see Kimimaro in a rematch with Lee or Gaara. Really? For one thing, Gaara's too busy fighting his a-hole dad to deal with some bone guy he already fought and nearly beat, and he could probably beat Kimi easily this time around considering he's a freakin Kage. No contest. As for Lee, has he even shown anything new since he fought Kimimaro? It'd be more of the same on both sides, and Lee has little improved chance to win in a rematch, not to mention the fact that they have practically nothing to do with each other.

Nonono, if Kimimaro is going to fight anyone alone it has to be Jugo. For one thing, Jugo's Curse Mark gives him much potential with transformations, both partial and complete. Narutopedia also states that Kimimaro can perform partial transformations with his Curse Mark as well, meaning that a fight between Jugo and Kimimaro wouldn't be boring, or just more of the same. However, it's more than the fighting that would make the matchup best for Kimimaro.

Jugo is the only person alive who still has a personal connection to Kimimaro. Orochimaru is dead, Kabuto is controlling Kimi, and Gaara and Lee are off fighting different battles. As far as we know, Jugo is the only person Kimi's even met that's still available to fight him. If the author wants to make a fight with Kimimaro interesting at the level of the relationship between characters, Jugo must be the opponent.

Jugo himself also needs this matchup, literally. If Jugo went out of control again, there'd be no one to stop him, because Sasuke has already betrayed him and is far away in Mountain's Grave. Kimimaro is now the only person who can supress Jugo's killing impulses, so Jugo has to face Kimi. Plus, Kimimaro cared deeply about serving Orochimaru's ambition, and this was re-established when Kimi spoke of Oro's chakra flowing through him. Jugo could tell Kimimaro about Orochimaru's death, and further about Sasuke, who Kimi died for to ensure he reached Orochimaru.

Until this fight happens, the most Kimimaro's role in the story will amount to is showing up to kill dozens of fodder. Once Jugo and Kimi reunite, they'll fight a bit, and Jugo is going to talk Kimimaro into peace. Jugo is the only person capable of it to begin with, and he would do that for Kimi.

(P.S. Looking at it, just as many people want to see Kimi fight Jugo as do want to see a rematch, but I already wrote this kinda long post and don't want to just get rid of it.)

I don't think he'll fighting Jugo. I mean they are (essentially) on the same team here.

I agree with everythig except for the part where Sandman almost beat Bones.Gaara would be dead if it wasn't for Bones' sickness.And chances are if they fought again,he'd at the least very least have a lot of trouble with him.

Well, there are Jugo's rampages to consider, and the fact that Kimimaro is technically being controlled and forced to fight. Jugo isn't necessarily with Akatsuki anymore.

Gaara came close a few times, but it is true he would've died. In a rematch, however, I doubt Gaara would have any trouble, considering that his sand control has improved greatly since and so has his battle experience and tactical expertise.

But if you agree with everything else that doesn't really matter.

True, though I'm sure Kabuto knows about Sasuke's team, and what Jugo could do for him. Now if Jugo goes on a rampage; it's not like he'll Kimimaro.Or should say internationally kill him. Plus, hes with Sasuke, who's with Madara, who's with Kabuto.

I'm a bit divided here. As much as I'd like to see Jugo vs. Kimimaro, I have an equal desire to see Lee vs. Kimimaro. IIRC, Kakashi told part of his division to go help out Kankuro's team. This would be a perfect setup for Lee and Sakura to come in and fight Kimimaro and Chiyo respectively. While Kimimaro and Lee's connection isn't too big, they were each other's last opponents. It'd be fitting to see a rematch IMO.

The one problem I have with Jugo vs. Kimimaro is that aren't Jugo and Suigetsu too far away from the battlefield? I also remember Jugo saying lets find Sasuke meaning they would go back to Madara's/Akatsuki's last hideout where Sasuke currently is. If not, then it'd also be cool to see Jugo run into Kimimaro while Suigetsu continues on to find his brother.

I can go both ways.

I agree with this. Gaara is preparing to fight four Kage and Lee...has not been brought up since Zabuza was sealed....

It would be an entertaining match-up. Since Kimi is technically immortal, he doesn't have the worry about the disease that essentially killed him, allwoing him to unleash his full potential. Truly a battle worth seeing.

Neji will fight Itachi.
If Juugo has to fight Kimmi than Kabuto will use Kimmi's ability to calm Juugo to turn him to their cause.

Kabuto can't use Kimimaro's ability, only Kimimaro can. As far as we know, Kabuto has no way to speak through Kimimaro, so he couldn't try to turn Jugo to his cause in his current situation.

True but Kabuto preformed Edo on a massive scale so he could possibly have other tricks up his sleeve. I wouldn't put it past him yet.

They have similar abilities and strength and hoped for the same thing with Orochimaru...

Unfortunately, she is said to be a filler character...not fair. why's the 6-tails here then?

no one else fits kim better than her...

anyways, as for Juugo, his best match now would be Sakura...Brute strength vs bruth strength... + he's the closest Sakura can get to sasuke should he and suigetsu find sasuke.

I might agree, but Jugo still has more of a connction to Kimi, both personally and in his abilities. Guren and Kimimaro didn't know each other, there'd be less interaction between them and the fight would be less interesting.

Jugo isn't completely brute strength, he's more transformation and chakra. Kimimaro was all about transforming, so their abilities allow for distinct clashes.

The six-tails Jinchuriki, Utakata, is still there because even though he was in a filler, he was a canon character. He was simply used in filler material.
