Is Giovanni serious?

In Pokemon, Team Rocket's boss, Giovanni, knows what he want to have the best Pokemon by stealing. Sadly, he doesn't get much screen time. It's a real bummer for him not to do so. With Black and White, Giovanni got screen time when Jesse, James, and Meowth got promoted and acted seriously with their jobs. Is Giovanni acting seriously or what?

Well, he would never kid around with wanting pokemon, so of course he'd be, when is he never serious about that?

Never. Giovanni wouldn't be serious if he wasn't overseeing Team Rocket's operations. He does want results from his subordinates every time. Jesse, James, and Meowth would notify Giovanni on what they're doing in their missions on Black and White.

What I really want to know is, what did Team Rocket do to finally get in Giovanni's good graces? Every time it showed them talking to him before, he was yelling at them and calling them idiots. How did they finally impress him enough to get noticed?

Of course, Giovanni has some big plans to control Unova's Pokemon. He would tell Jesse, James, and Meowth on what kind of missions they would be doing in the said region. I wonder what kind of reaction Giovanni would do if those three failed big time. Bummer.

I imagine that he probably expects it by now. They have been failing for so long, that I'm amazed he even gave them a chance.

They've probably showed him they can handle something seriously for once off-screen, and it'll show up later in the series.

I don't plan watching it though. :P
