Default The Fifth of the Sage of the Six Paths' Treasures

Is the pot that was used by the Third Raikage to seal the Hachibi.

My reasoning:
In Chapter 527, Page 2, Samui says "Four of the five Ultimate Ninja Treasures gathered by the Hidden Cloud". She could mean the Could only gathered four, but it could also be taken as the Hidden Cloud having gathered all five. Narutopedia's page on the treasures also states the Cloud gathered all five.

Also according to Narutopedia, the Treasures (as well as Kinkaku and Ginkaku) are inspired by the Chinese story "Journey to the West". The Treasures in the story are a fan, a sword, a rope, a gourd, and a pot. Also according to the same section, the pot had the power of sucking in opponents. On the first three pages of Chapter 494, the Third Raikage and his subordinates restrain the Hachibi while the Raikage uses a jutsu to seal the Hachibi into a pot.

The Raikage is part of the Cloud Village, so if the Cloud really did collect all five, then following the Naruto facts and the influence from Journey to the West, it would be that pot. It's true that a large amount of chakra is required to use the weapons, but Kinkaku and Ginkaku each wield only three at a given time, and survived in the Fox's stomach for two weeks. Alone, the Raikage himself should have great chakra, meaning handling only one of the Treasures shouldn't be too much of a problem. It also makes sense in that the pot is used to seal away the Hachibi, and as the Sage was the first Jinchuriki, he may have used it for a similar purpose, to seal away some of the Jubi or seal away some of the new Biju when he created them.

If this is true, the pot's only relevance is where it is in the story now, and how it will be used to seal someone or something.

Should be enough reasoning to think the pot it one of them.

I suppose, but the fact that the fifth is a pot in Journey to the West, a story that influenced the Treasures, that narrows it down to one thing.

True, but Kishi needs to learn not to make things so abuse, and get cooler looking treasures. I mean, a rope, gourd, sword, Fan, and a pot

I meant the pot that you were reffering to is known as the Crimson Gourd. The fifth by my guess will b the Raikage's Belt.

... No, if you look at the gourd Ginkaku has and you look at the pot the Raikage used they're different things.

Look it up for yourself. First three pages of Chapter 494. That's no gourd right there. Motoi even calls it a pot.

So, there are two pots which suck stuff up? Seems pointless to introduce.

I would like to see kishi stray away from the journey to the west items with the fith item. The pot is just way to predictable and if so it will probably be just as lame as the other items as well.

Not necessarily. The gourd has to go through preparation to use, and at most we've seen it contain three people. The pot doesn't appear to require any real preparation, and it sealed away a Biju. The pot, as a Treasure, would be much more powerful than the gourd, and more useful.

He could always make it something new, but if he's using already existing tools, the evidence suggests the pot is the most likely choice.

right. But why even have the gourd if the pot does the same thing but better. I'm not saying it's not the pot, tho I would prefer it be something new to the story. But if it is the pot......then either the gourd or the pot has another power that we haven't been familiarized with yet (probably more to the pot then we know about).

The Weapons of the Silver and Golden Horned Kings were to put it literal:
A Purple-reddish Wine Gourd. - Check
Palm Leaf Fan. - Check
Golden Curtain Rope. - Check
Seven Starts Sword. - Check
Only one left is the Jade Flask.

Though it may only be my opinion but considering it's a Flask, what the 3rd Raikage used can hardly be considered as one.

Appearantly Kishimoto is also very strict when it comes to adding in Myth's, Legends or in short Asian Culture to the Manga.
Changing it from Flask to Pot somehow seems improbable to me.

Also adding in that this Pot might very well just be Kumogakure's Version of Sunagakure's Version where Shukaku was sealed into a Kettle.
Though that is only if Kishimoto truly does stick with the Story.

According to Narutopedia, the fifth treasure is the Kohaku no Johei, which it translates as "Amber Purifying Pot", not "Jade Flask". Not to say you're wrong, I don't know any Japanese or Chinese, but still.

Well thing is Kohaku no Johei is Japanese I believe.
Journey to the West is Chinese though.
First time I rather trust the Chinese more.
Though my Info only comes from Wikipedia as well.

Though if it is indeed a Pot;
The one used by the 3rd Raikage is most definitely the one.

If it's a Flask:
We have yet to see it.
At first I thought of Mangetsu or Suigetsu but they're not from Kumogakure.
