yea I know he gave an explanation. I'm not saying it's not legit that they have the fox power (tho it was kind of a lame explanation). but I just wish he had went a different direction. especially with the kyuubi form.

No, you're not the only one. I can take the fact that Kishi uses a lot of mythology and stuff and it makes the story very interesting but the last chapters have been horrible. I already complained about "Samui" and "Atsui" and now this?? Ginkaku and Kinkaku would be the perfect excuse for an anime filter arc...that's how bad it is IMO.

I agree with you by now Kishi should stop giving out things that belonged to the Sage and spreading out his DNA like crazy and really? now we have a bijuu transformation from the Kyuubi and that guy was never even a Jinchuriki

Yep...i was not Happy about the whole 9-tail thing. it's a bit sloppy i'd say too.

It's what i call the slack moment in plotting...which is inevitable for even a genius like Kishi... there's too much going on...we've never seen the likes of it >so many action figures at once<...let's hope he's putting his focus somewhere meet to make up for this.

No author will try to develop every single character in a war, like what he's trying to do...it's demanding, especially when we know "the war hasn't even started yet"...Madara hasn't made a move nor sasuke nor Naruto nor the Kage's...So bare with Kishi on this one. what do u say...lol.

Ugh... I have to agree. The Gin Kin bros overall have just been a major disappointment. At this rate, it doesn't look like it will end soon either

most of the newly introdueced edo tenseis arnt smoothly thought out, although i kinda like the 2nd mizukage just for lols viva la france! well france, along with spain has quite the history with japan actually

i to agree they have nothing original to bring their weapons except for the fan were mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and why is it that its only the kyuubi chakra that gets passed about i know it was a filler but sora aswell they are from the cloud so it would have made alot more sense for it to have been the hachibi

Wnhile I must also agree that this kyuubi form is super lame and a complete rip from form Naruto, I think that while they can have control over its power, they are not nearly as powerful and Naruto when he's in that state.

I had high hopes for this duo, but I'm disappointed as well. Their backstory and everything's fine, but them as characters don't appeal to me.

I'm already looking past this little saga and am now hoping the Jinchuuriki and Kage fights are better.

^well actually I'm calling a fail on Kishi's behalf over this part of the arch in it's entirety..... but yea your right. That's a major character fail for Ginkaku. Renowned, Feared, and Legendary beaten by his own specialty and reduced to a baby screaming for help in his defeat.

You know Darui also had a fail. Wasn't this whole part of the arch to hype Darui up? So how could an elite Shinobi who is a commanding officer of the joint forces make such a novice mistake to scream out "I didn't say dull!"(knowing dull is his tabood word)........It's the level of reverse psychology that you might use on a four year old kid! Not acceptable that Darui was so easily lured into saying that.

Darui was thinking "I didn't say dull". He was sucked in because he said "right hand" which can be loosely translated to "Darui" which means "dull".

This what I caught...Darui didn't say "I didn't say dull" out loud that was something he said in his head after he was being sucked in already... The mistake is... He said, "I'm the Bosses Right Hand Man anD I'll never just be a tool. Say, "and I'll" yourself...see the end of the D and I'll sounds "Dull"...that's what happend... But it's actually intelligent that he caught on to that.
on page 6 you could see darui's eye get wider as he realizes and thinks D-I'll... = Dull!

only i dont know how that'd work in Japanese.

You're not the only one, Jester. The 5 weapons of the Rikudou Sennin were fine, as they tied into mythology, but giving them Kyuubi powers is Kishi's biggest fail. I didn't like it in the Sora Filler Arc of the anime, and I certainly don't like it now.

Hmmm? I thought it was great the way Kinkaku and Ginkaku have the fox's power. The author created something that practically sounded like mythology itself: Kinkaku and Ginkaku survived inside the demon fox's stomach for two weeks, and when it was forced to spit them out they had its power. "9 tails power just keeps getting handed out"? How many people besides Kinkaku and Ginkaku have actually had it? As in, that weren't its Jinchuriki.

Not really. It makes sense that they had it when they were alive, but the Kyuubi's chakra wasn't part of them. There souls are the things being revived, yet somehow the chakra was carried over with them. I call BS on that.
