In the recent Naruto chapter, 527, they talked about the five great treasures of the Sage of Six Paths...and how they're were only four of them.

This means that there's still one left

and...

If you remember in the chapter it discussed that if a normal person were to wield any one of the weapons they would be drained of their chakra and be killed almost instantly...or something...

BUT

This is where it gets interesting...if you remember back to when Itachi encountered Naruto, he gave him something. Whatever Naruto received is unclear.

Now this is just a guess...but I believe that Naruto was given one of the treasures!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, he has incredible chakra, making him able to wield the weapons, Itachi had quite a few amazing treasures that he had gathered up, so why wouldn't he have the last of the treasures???? Unless we were already told what he was given, and I missed it, then all the pieces fit!!!

I don't think so. I think the last treasure is the staff that the SSP had. You can see him weilding it in the juubi picture. I just don't this happening.

Hmmm. Gotta give you props here. Can't believe I didn't realize this as a possibility myself.

There is one hole but it would vary with personal opinion. Itachi said "I gave you some of MY power". So could we say if Itachi had the "last treasure" that he could call it "his power". Or would it be the weapons power or will it always simply be the RS's power. I'm not sure.

You do give me an idea for another thread.

Then again, he also had the Totsuka Sword.

I'd say it's plausible, given that he had the Totsuka Sword and the information given in Chapter 527.

I think that Itachi gave Naruto something to help him win his battle with Sasuke, and i think that he gave Naruto one of the powers of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

One thing I DON'T think Itachi gave Naruto is Sharingan or anything related to it. My guess is that it's something closer to Minato's seal, where when Sasuke's about to defeat Naruto (somehow..), Itachi'll show up.

Or it could be opposite then that. next time they fight the final blow ( Rasen vs Chidori ) Naruto's feelings and words will actually get to sasuke.

Basing on the Journey to the West Legend..
the only treasure which wasnt revealed is the Pure Vase/flask or whatever..
so no its not the Sage's staff..
Most probably its the Big Vase the 3rd Raikage used to seal th Hachibi..



also i think that what Itachi gave to Naruto was something to counter Sasuke's Abilities..
in short its a counter to the sharingan..i think its more of a techniwue than anything else..

I agree. One of the central pillars of the story is the fact that Naruto stays on par with Sasuke despite Sasuke being blessed with the most renowned Dojutsu. It'd be anti-climatic to me if Naruto has to use the power of Sharingan to defeat Sasuke. This would be unforgivable on Kishi's behalf.

they did say that Kumogakure had collected them..its possible that the brothers were only able to steal four..

with the Fox sealed away Naruto should now be able to merge with the toads and complete a perfect sage mode and that is a formidable power to itsself!

i think it most posiible that itachti transfered the power of the sharingan into naruto but it wont activate till sasuke uses a certain jutsu on him that belonged to itachi originally.
