Well I thought if I put one of the fast characters in naruto people would give a reason for byakuya winning other than speedblitzing everyone.

Dude, Zommari wasn't able to react to his attacks, putting Byakuya at supersonic to hypersonic. Possibly faster when he's released. And when he releases his Bankai, he's done.

Plus, Minato's speed feats are mostly hype.

Maybe if it was someone like A or Rock Lee maybe they'd have a chance, but Minato has none seeing as though it takes him about 2 seconds for him to get his kunai, at least 5 seconds to send it at Byakuya and teleport behind him, while Byakuya reaches Minato and decapitates him in a second or less.

A lacks far ranged attacks, rendering your debate useless. Lee is even worse. Even if he is in gates, he would end up being killed by Shunpo. The closer he gets, the easier it would be for Byakuya to blitz.

well there are few people that can fight byakuya and LIVE much less win but i think that if anyone has a good chance of survival or further off WINING it is minato
and if worse comes to worse just reaper death seal them both and leave it at that MAJOR SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!
