Music: Favorite piece of Classical/Instrumental music

What's your favorite piece of classical/orchestrated music.
Try not to make it an orchestrated version of a video game song
It must be ORIGINALLY orchestral, so if it IS from a game, it's OKAY in that case (like mine)

swan lake by Tchaikovsky, if forget which act is my favorite, but anything Tchaikovsky is really great.

I don't listen to classical music as much as I'd like, but I would like to applaud you for the thread.

I do play in concert band, though, and I'll post a video of my favorite piece that I've played when I get to a place at which I can access YouTube (that is to say, not school).

As far as my favorite piece of classical music, my first thought is Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, specifically the Infernal Dance of All Kashchei's Subjects and the Finale. If I were to give it some serious thought, though, I'm sure I could think of a better one.

oh hey ive talked to u before. i got to play alot of different instruments! it was a really small school so i got to move around. in concert i played flute, baritone, sax, and piano.

Our band literally had, like, 20-something people in it this year.

I CAN play:

Sax
Guitar
Bass
A little piano
A bit of flute (played it through middle school)
A tiny, tiny bit of clarinet

I really want to learn Cello and Oboe.

never heard of firebird suite, ill have to look it up. is it ur fav b/c its fun to play?

Something like that. That was our marching show my last year. The show was a disaster, but I have to admit that the music itself was awesome.

Also, I'm willing to argue the beauty of the sound of a good clarinet.

true clarinets sound very pretty, im just against them b/c they r so hard to play. i would have to sell my soul to the devil to be able to play it. i suck really bad at clarinet.

I wanted to find live recordings to Novena and Air for Band, but I couldn't find any that I felt did justice to the pieces. I didn't find anything but live recordings for Chesford Potrait on YouTube, so it'll have to do.

(Mainly Trumpet and Piano though, however if our full drum guy is out, I am the sub)
