how is it hypocritical? everyone has learned in the dbz fanbase that using feats is pointless because king piccolo is obviously not stronger than dabura, super 17, imperfect cell or pan despite having better feats.

its hypocritical to post in dbz threads at all if your going to ignore the power scale it set up and rely on feats. pan never city busted because shes not a psychopathic murderer. goku never destroyed a planet but we know he can because he defeated people who can (saiyan saga vegeta/frieza/kid buu

you are forgetting that dragonball has something.............ITS CALLED A STORY(excluding GT), 90% of the characters dont want/care to do any harm to whatever planet they are on. the only characters who have destructive feats usually have destructive personalities, sure ssj3 goku is wayyyy stronger than freiza, but people forget that ssj3 goku is a good guy and doesnt want to do anything to the planet

Are people missing the point? The point is feats are meaningless in any Dragonball series, especially after the Frieza Saga, which they are. Most noticable, this is an issue with the Buu forms.

No, what people aren't getting is that powerscaling is the easiest way to find out who's storngest in DB/DBZ.

It's really not, powerscaling would lead to observation, observation would lead to feats, which is pointless. Super 17 vs King Piccolo is too 1-sided, so powerscaling isn't a big deal in this case, but when it comes to battles like Android Saga's Ssj Goku vs Ssj Vegeta, how would powerscaling work?

You're making it complicated. Instead of just using the simple powerscaling method, i.e. Super Janemba defeated SSJ3 Goku, so by powerscaling, he's much stronger than Base Gotenks.

Then of course it gets complicated, but you can't use character statements in there either, since there were none that partake to this fight. You'd have to go through the fights, like Vegeta vs. 18, and see how badly he got his ass whipped, then find a Goku fight with the androids, and compare them, though Goku's fight with #19 wasn't very impressive. Sometimes, you have to go to feats, because there is no other good way to find it.

That's when statements come to play, unless those statements are absolutely proven wrong, an author will have characters make statements for our benefit, for us to know the situation & for us to know what is going on. This is why it's assumed Vegeta was the stronger of the 2, since Piccolo on more than 1 occassion said that Vegeta is probably stronger, & it hasn't been proven wrong, and Piccolo is a valid source to used since he has trained with Goku for 3 years, & he knew Goku wasn't at full strength against #19.
