Thus making it pretty much impossible to kill L himself without coming out as Kira.

Actually he was pretty much about to uncover who Kira was.
It was only the Fake 13 Days Rule which he was about to test but Rem stopped that.

It was the Fake Rule that said anyone who doesn't use the Note to kill in 13 Days they will Die.

That Rule was what saved Light due to being in Detention for 50 Days however due to his Plan with the Yotsuba suspicion against him were near 0 with only L being left suspecting him.

I vaguely remember all of this from watching the anime a while back. I must say it was epic when L faked Light out with Lind L. Taylor.

I think L should have won but shinigamis and plot powers were the only reason Light was able to overcome L. It sucked. =/

I must say this. Yagami Raito is a dumbass.

Seriously he should of just stayed low like any smart criminal and continue killing criminals. But no, he just had to butt into Police business and get L suspicious. He should of just ignored L, that way L would have never found out about Yagami and the Death Note.

No evidence to even suspect anyone considering Yagami was using the Death Note to kill people.

Light is certainly overrated, he didn't overcome L through intelligence, he had Misa and Rem helping him and as the main character it's fairly obvious what would happen.

It's just funny how L's knockoff chibi successor managed to beat him. Figures...

If I were Yagami I would certainly never get caught. Yagami was really stupid for killing Lind L Taylor, not like anyone is gonna find you since you're not leaving evidence behind.

Not killing Lind L Taylor means L will never find Yagami.

No he ain't.Considering he outplayed and outsmarted everyone but Near is proof for that.

He did continue even if indirectly.

L was suspicious of Kira being Light the Moment he dealt with the FBI which was neccessary.

It was him who stayed onto Kira.Avoiding him would be like confessing.
Besides L found out about Yagami before they even meet in Person.

L wouldn't even know Yagami exist if Yagami didn't kill Lind L Taylor, which he did and it was a dumb decision. And obviously that FBI wouldn't have to investigate Yagami if he didn't hack into his dad's computer.

And killing him was unnecessary, since he was about to finish investigating and deeming Yagami not suspicious.

IF he didn't kill Taylor L would have continue broadcasting that to the rest of the world, which he still won't find out about Yagami.
