That's right. Together. If they were to be seperated again, to fight one by one, they'd grow weak again, and they'll be wiped out.

I'd say that, alone, only Kimmimaro would put up a very good fight. He battled with Naruto, with Lee, and with Gaara. Not even Gaara defeated him properly, and he was going to kill Gaara if it wasn't for his desease (Kimimmaro died like Itachi).

It would be interesting to see how a curse mark could work on a dead, reanimated corpse however.

But then the Sasuke retrieval team would just work together and wipe them out in my opinion. They have all gotten stronger so wouldn't be easier?

They were weak, beaten by a Genin. They are nowhere near Jonin level, let alone Kage.

That doesn't mean that they won't put up a good fight. If they're together, they can be formidable. Besides, they could have jutsu that they didn't show when they were alive. Like Haku's Crystal Prison/Ball or something.

Kabuto summoned the ninja he did because they were well-renowned for their respective areas. Kimimaro himself is much more powerful than anyone in the Sound 4, and besides that the Sound 4 have no true history and no greater relevence to the plot beyond what happened to them in the Sasuke Retrieval Arc.

How could they have gotten stronger over the years if they were dead?

TOGETHER....Together they couldn't have defeated Kimimaro. He mopped the floor with them without breaking a sweat...Together they had trouble dealing with some fodder and barely survived an battle using their level 2 Curse Mark forms. 2 of them were defeated by Neji and Choji who have both gotten stronger over the years. The other 2 were easily defeated by Temari and Kankuro who won without breaking a sweat too. Gaara couldn't have defeated Kimimaro if it wasn't for his disease and Gaara is way stronger than his 2 siblings.

Against an army full of 16,000 Chunins and Jonins they are screwed.

Kabuto should have all of their DNA, and Kimi too, so it should be possible.
