Edit: Kubo said there was going to be 2 more arcs left. So both of them are going to be terrifyingly long!

@ Shikamura Thank you. It could end up like Pokemon. I mean the the first time I saw it was great but than they started churning out sequel after sequel of movies and series. I doubt Bleach will be like that because I don't know but lengthy extensions like that can be bad juju.

I agree with the majority - bad idea. Making things longer may seem good at first, but some things are meant to end shortly. It makes them more memorable/interesting.
My thought goes to Cowboy Bebop. It could've been dragged out, but it wasn't, thus making it, in my honest opinion, more interesting than a lot of anime.

What I'm wondering is: what kind of things is there left to really show? I know there are some major things to be discussed/shown/used, but that's not a lot from what I see.

I just can't really see anything happening beyond two or three years worth of the manga. Long series tend to be really boring once there's nothing left and it's just dragged out to be longer, excluding OP, since that's been the only good "longer" series IMO.

Though it could end up being a good thing, maybe not. We'll just have to see what he ends up giving us.

I have to agree. Bleach is one of my favourite series, but honestly another 10 years? Waaaay too long. Bleach will have peaked long before then. I somewhat doubt the manga will be able to keep me interested for another ten years. And as someone else pointed out above me, there are only supposed to be two arcs left.. how long does he plan on making these.. I personally can't picture Bleach continuing at its high standard for that long period of time. It's just not going to work.

Ya know this all so funny but I don't think Japanese people care since Pokemon and One Piece has been going for over 10 years and they are still popular but unlike One Piece Pokemon seem to be running out of ideas and they are only linging to a thread til the series is over.

I think Kubo just wanna surpass Naruto and maybe One Piece.

he can do alot more things with bleach after the current arc he can still make a tourment arc happen which i would like to see maybe even back storys to every captain and maybe he can also see ichigos dads back story why he stoped being a soul reaper and what not.

Who says it's extended? It may have always been in Kubo's mind to make Bleach to last ten more years. He might have it all figured out already and
it's just a matter of when it releases. I know it seems like Bleach should
have ended but clearly Kubo has more of the Bleach story to tell.

I just hope it's Kubo deciding this and not Shonen Jump.

Oh and by the time Bleach ends...

Guess we'll have to see what Kubo comes up with....he may do a Saint Seiya type thingy, and take a break from writing the main storyline of Bleach to retake it later, or he may just be joking after all, and Bleach won't last that long after all, only God & Kubo himself know

...........and if it does last 10 years, I'll be 35 by then
