I think I've Figured Out Madara! *spoilers*

When Madara was having a convo with sasuke about who he is and the history of why Itachi destroyed the village I remember distictly about him telling sasuke that the Nine-Tailed Fox attacking 16 years ago was purely a coincidence. But then when the fourth was talking to naruto, he said that Madara WAS behind it. I think he lied to Sasuke so he would go after the elders because he holds a grudge against them - they cast him out of the village. And if sasuke knew the truth, He would've killed Tobi/Madara. Maybe this was obvious, but what do you think?

Yes, Madera lied to Sasuke about the nine-tails attacking Konoha (Itachi did not attack/destroy Konoha).

One more reason why I think Sasuke is an idiot. He may well realize that Madera is lying to him, but he's still doing exactly what Madera wants.

Only person in the Akatsuki that has been show to destroy villages is Sasori and Deidara

I don't think Sasuke has realized what Madara was lying about. Minato saying that was to confirm that there was indeed things Madara was lying about(one of the other things could be the whole 'brother handing over his eyes') it helps confirm all the things us fans have beleved false since we heard about them.

Madara planned to tell Sasuke everything so that he would follow him and he could be minupulated, or so it seems. But Sasuke's convinced he is not being minupulated at all by Madara and it's Taka using Atatsuki, but THAT's exactly what Madara wanted. He wanted Sasuke to think he was making his own choices when in reality, those choices are helpping Madara get what he wants.

He knew Sasuke would never agree to just follow orders no matter what he told him about the 'truth of the uchiha', so he set it up so that Sasuke would be shaped(by the information) into the kind of person he is now. Madara's been around along time, I think this plan was first set into motion several years ago, and it was all part of the bigger picture until now when were seeing it reach it's peak.

i dont see why madara telling sasuke that the fox attacked from coincidence would make him for some reason mad and kill the elders
but he did tell him that, even though he lied, i dont see wat it would matter if he told him the truth or not, sasuke hates konoha becuz of wat they made itachi do
so it makes no difference

I think Madara telling him about the fox thing being an accedent and he wasn't involved was to make it look like he was trying to get Sasuke to trust him, but Madara knew Sasuke would pick up on this and would not trust him(obviously). And as I explained above, this is also what he wanted.

1)Itachi did not destroy the village it was the Uchiha clan. He killed them all but Sasuke.
2)I don't remeber that
3)Minato did not say that he said "The one behind the mask... He is the one from 16 years ago"
4)He does hold a grudge against them for what they did.
