Is it possible for
For a usually recessive gene to become dominant so when like someone has a baby it results it Codominance causing the child(pup, kitten etc.) to heterochromia. Differance in eye color in each eye.
From what I've learned Heterochromia can be cause by chimeraism, Mosaicism, injury to the eye or they weren't born with a certain amount of pigment.
Here's some detail about Chimerism and Mosaicism
Chimera-chimera is an individual having more than one genetically-distinct population of cells that originated from more than one zygote
Mozaic-denotes the presence of two populations of cells with different genotypes in one individual who has developed from a single zygote.
What I am talking about though is what if someone had the normal amount of chromosomes. Just that what usually would be a Dominant > Recessive is Dominant = Dominant. Because of some rare occurence in one of the parents sex cells which takes in the appearence of for example again Heterochromia.
The match being Blue and Green. Green is recessive to Blue. Well usually...
This is excluding the genes that give you your gender. I'm referring to skin, eye...etc.
Anyways discuss. I want to hear what you think? Is it possible or not? If so or no explain.
