Riddles Thread

You know how everyone has those small dry erase boards up on the door to their dorm room their freshman year of college. Yeah, I had one too, but instead of leaving it for messages I wrote riddles on them for other people to solve. I just found some of those riddles on my computer so I thought it would be fun to do a riddles thread here.

The way this works is everyone tries to solve the riddle and the first person to do that gets to post their own riddle. If that person doesn't want to post a riddle I will post another one. Please do not just look up the answer on the internet as that would take the fun out of this thread. Alright, here goes:

The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

Wow that's good. I never was good at riddles, but let's see... knowledge? If it's way off the mark, I stress again that I am horrible at riddles haha.

Okay, this one will be a bit harder.

Mr. Slow, Mr. Medium, Mr. Fast, and Mr. Speed must cross a rickety rope bridge in 17 minutes. The bridge can carry at most two people at a time. Furthermore, it's dark, and there is only one flashlight; any single person or pair of people crossing the bridge must have the flashlight with them. (The bridge is too wide for the flashlight to be thrown; it must be carried across.)
Each man walks at a different speed. A pair travelling together must walk at the rate of the slower man. Mr. Slow can cross the bridge in at most 10 minutes; Mr. Medium can cross in 5 minutes; Mr. Fast can cross in 2 minutes; Mr. Speed can cross in 1 minute. How do all four men get across in the bridge in 17 minutes?

Man, this is tough. It'd be no problem if it wasn't for "must walk at the rate of the slower man"...

Edit: And the fact that two people HAVE to go, otherwise the only person to cross would have to return the flashlight and would be counterproductive.

You have six people and two statues that need to cross a lake in a single boat which can hold two people. The people are an angel, an archangel, a demon, the devil, god and a human. The statues are of an angel and a demon. If anyone dies, you fail.

If the human is around anything without God around, the human will be killed.
If an angel is around the devil without an archangel, the angel dies.
If a demon is around an archangel without the devil around, the demon will die.
If demons and angels are alone at any time, they all die.

How do they get everyone across with no one being killed?
