Cool Just wondering,so...Hinata's confession to Naruto reminded Nagato of YahikoxKonan?
I had always wondered before why Nagato acted so oddly and said such strange things when he fought Hinata.Right after he stabbed her he goes into some Emo tirade about love and sacrifice.That seemed a rather touching thing for an emotionless being like Pain to say.

I mean granted I know he missed killing a few other people,but that was purely unintentional.But he was standing right over Hinata,so I'm pretty sure he intentionally spared her,and just wanted a raise out of Naruto.

But then in chapter 511,we saw how Nagato had always known how Konan fancied Yahiko ever since they were children.

And then looking back it makes it more emotional when you realize that Hinata tried to sacrifice herself against Pain.like Yahiko decided to end his own life rather than let Hanzou kill Konan.Suddenly it all makes sense to me.

Anyone else agree?

Maybe. It may be true, but what Pain said after using Shinra Tensei on Hinata was that love breeds hate, which breeds war and so on. This went along with what Pain had said earlier to Naruto about peace. It wasn't really an emotional speech about love.

Also, Pain wasn't really emotionless. He berated Kisame for calling Hidan and Kakuzu the Zombie Brothers, and told Akatsuki to mourn Deidara in peace.

But it's still probably true that Hinata's confession and devotion reminded him of Yahiko and Konan.
