Chapter Twenty Five - Calling from a Distance

Destruction lunged forth, his blade humming through the air. Rasen and the others scattered, avoiding the heavy blow.

"Hmm, fast for a grunt." Destruction muttered under his breath.

"No time...we have no time for this..." Rasen thought wildly, all too aware that Hikari needed to get to the sky soon.

Destruction lunged again and instead of avoiding the blow, he met the charge head on, catching a glimpse of Bella as she rushed in from Destructions blind side.

Rasen felt a shallow gash open up on his belly as he barely avoided being sliced in half and slashed at Destructions' wrist, forcing him to take a half step back, Bella had taken advantage of Destructions' hesitant step back and she drove her blade into the small of his back, forcing it in and out his stomach.

Destruction coughed up blood, more streamed from his wounds.

Destruction spoke, "So...this is my fate. You win...dragon boy...and your friends too." he gave what almost looked like a half smile, then Bella pulled her blade free and blood spilt all over the ground, and Destruction slumped and crumpled in a heap on the floor.

"We must hurry" Tempest said as Hikari coughed, she seemed to be getting worse by the minute.

Rasen nodded and the group hurried onwards.

Serveral weeks earlier

The head scientist of Biokasei stood by a long table, his head down.

He spoke "Guilt...yes I feel guilt, even low ranks are human after all...but, I know what I do is for the good of all."

He then glanced at a seal on the table, it had the seal of the high general Origin on it.

"And my superiors think it will work..."

He then glanced at the door to the room where the girl, Hikari, was recovering after the operation.

"I must follow my orders..."

Rasen and the others had reached a large platform elevator, it lead up to the main gate to the sky, it takes about fifteen minutes to reach the top, fifteen minutes and they would only be a short hallway from their destination.

Rasen started the elevator, Hikari sat on a chair near the terminal, Bella stood next to her. Rasen walked over to a railing in the centre of the platform and slumped against it, he felt a throb in his head and suddenly, he wasn't on the elevator any longer.

Rasen was slowly approaching the huge dragon, Matsuro, as he approached, he considered his situation.

"Even should my humanity fade...in the end, I will know peace..." Rasen had reached the base of the great dragon and he looked up at it.

"...as long as I see the sky..." Rasen closed his eyes, "Help me Matsuro."

Rasen was jolted out of his vision by Tempests' voice. "You ok?"

Rasen pointed at Hikari, who was kicking her legs back and forth with a smle on her face, his meaning was clear, he was happy as long as she was. Tempest smiled.

"It will be over soon..." Rasen said suddenly, "Please...show Hikari the sky."

Rasens' form then shuddered and he saw a face in his head, suddenly, lightning bolts shot down the elevators power lines, Rasen spotted a figure, standing on the elevator tracks up ahead, his eyes were closed, but they suddenly flew open, his blood red pupils suddenly visible.

Hikari gasped, the elevator shuddered to a halt, the lights went out and the world went black.

I was originally going to make the fight with Destruction alot longer, but I decided to save it for the big one coming up.

Sounds alright to me, though at times, in my opinion, the more battles that are put together, one after another with no break inbetween, especially if several or more are all long, it can get a touch tedious at times, though that's not the case all the time, it really depends on the battles and how they are put together and/or are executed, I suppose.

He then glanced at a seal on the table, it had the seal of the high general Origin on it.

Should that be a capital? Considering that it sounds as though it's a title?

As far as I know all the characters have been taken by others already, it was said by the OP a long while ago that they alll were, it also says on the OP that all the characters have been taken already aswell, so considering that has been said, I would say that there's a possibility that you can't be a character within this story, at this point. Besides the OP has already stated in the post above yours, that this story is near it's finishing point, so I don't think that there would be all too much point in becoming a character now, within this story and there's also the point, that there's probably no other characters getting introduced within this story now, considering that it is near it's finishing point.
