PDA in schools?

In my old high school, PDA was allowed now-a-days my little brother tells me that just holding hands in the hallways can get you detention. Do you think it should be allowed? Why/why not?

To a certain degree, I think displaying affection in school is okay. I mean, I would not want children swapping saliva, but a few innocent kisses would not harm.

yeshhhhhh, i don't think they shouldn't allow you to. i don't like to watch it or show pda, but some people do and that's their thing. just let em do it.

What's next, segregation, all boys and all girls schools just to make sure nothing happens? All under the guise of keeping kids safe? Where are they gonna stop? Is there even a limit? <watches for the floor to drop>

American society is oblivious to the fact that the more you tell people (especially teenagers), what not to do, the more they are going to want to do it. I figured this would be something we figured out over time, like history. Apparently, I am wrong on that.

Yes but the only to get around it would be home schooling then. In that case, the kids wouldn't leard how to socialize. Not good. The kids need to be able to make the choices for good and for bad. My parents gave me a lot of freedom, I watched others mess up, I didn't want to fall in the pitfall so I went around them. I was considered a good child.

Once in high school, the drama teacher walked into our AP art class and asked if anyone wanted to draw her up some pornography for the production of Oklahoma. Naturally, I volunteered. Weirdly, this made me popular. I started doing it for money, selling copies to seedy individuals on lunch break. When I started smelling "nark" on every slick-haired Johnny Depp look-alike that tried to fling me a coin or two, I got serious. That's when the guns got involved. By the time my rivals started shooting porn in the hallways, I knew things had gone too far...

PDA: Pornographic Design and Arts. Don't do it, kids. It only looks like a viable career choice. It just breeds Johnny Depps!
