Lugia & the 3 Legendary birds Vs. Mewtwo & Dragonite

Bored, lets do a Pokemon battle.

All of them at peak, any moves allowed. Mewtwo and Dragonite start on the ground.


No Clone preptime for mewtwo

Tbc, unfourtunately Mewtwo by the movie standards is a god. He restrained any opposition except mew with his psychic powers. You're going to have to restrict him to some degree if you want this to work.

He fought no legendaries except Mew.

The birds were on the verge of splitting the world apart in the 2nd movie. Mewtwo could make storms, but he never showed any ability to nearly destroy the world.

Mewtwo -Uber
Dragonite - OU

I think team one wins, Lugia can toxic stall Mewtwo and Zapdos destory Dragonite with HP Ice.

Articuno can also Ice Beam Dragonite to death, Moltres is a non factor in this fight.

With no rain support from Kyogre Mewtwo's Thunder only has 70% accuracy, his other moves Ice beam and Aura Sphere won't do much. Selfdestruct would nearly KO but he loses anyway.

Actually, his Taunt Calm Mind set would beat Lugia, taunt shuts down Lugia and earns him a free set up.

What mind rape? He doesn't have that attack, if you mean Psychic then Lugia can wall it with no problem, what can a resisted special move do to a Pokemon with base 154 SpD?

Also what kind of Mewtwo would run Psychic? No Pokemon weak to Psychic in ubers, its a wasted move.

I never understood why the game creators didn't give Mewtwo psychic in the games,since it is supposed to be a clone of Mew,who is a Psychic type.

Because Psychic attacks is a weak and ****** STAB, no Pokemon in the Uber tier is weak to Psychic, so why run it? Wast of space.

This is true,but the Mewtwo who came in the first movie also appeared before dark type pokemon. This is the era when Psychics could stop full blown attacks just by waving their hands like a wand. The attacks by moltres,zapdos,and Articuno would be thrown back at them with ease.

While I did forget about Lugia, all in all,it will come down to Mewtwo versus Lugia since Dragonite can't keep up with three immortal birds/

Psychic attack can't stop attacks, what game do you play? Also he can destroy Darkrai with Aura Sphere after Stealth Rock damage, so Dark types isn't a problem for him.

Are you kidding me? Dragonite after a Dragon Dance destroys Articuno and Moltres, Zapdos wins since hes pretty bulky. Normally Zapdos runs Hidden Power Ice.

Articuno and Moltres both takes 50% damage from Stealth Rock, he could OHKO them with Base Outrage.

Well I would think so since the OP never mentioned movie in his post.

Red: He never mentioned the game either. Pick an era or media for which we can debate.:/

Blue: Lightning is effective against dragonite in the newer games.

Green: The legendaries never appeared in the canon episodes. They all appeared in special movies. This is a hypothetical debate, if you're relying on feats alone. Go find a trivia forum. :/

I can't recall the legendary birds ever having an episode. :/ I can only remember the second movie when they were raging about in a battle royal.

Dragonite is the only one to have true feats since he took down half of Ashes' pokemon.

I thought you were talking about all legendaries,because there aren't many of them who haven't appeared in the anime.

Articuno-Fought Ash's Charizard just a few episodes before Battle Frontier.
Zapdos-not sure
Moltres-some episode in Chronicles.

Apparently,manga Dragonite can spam a city busting Hyper Beam.
