Idea: How to improve Roleplaying quests

A Roleplaying quest as it was introduced by Vat, is probably the best hope for BFV to introduce some competition and fun. The Goodies(Good guys) will have standard rules while the Baddies will have room to god mod. It is an interesting prospect since it can combine non roleplaying elements to create a sense of story while utilizing combat based on where everyone is at. It goes without saying that the baddie will have the upper hand and he or she will threaten to kill the a goodie. This is where another goodie based on his location in the battle field will come to save the day,but he may be sacrificing his chance to sneak by the baddie to reach the goal.

Why these over wars?

If you have ever fought even one BFV fight, you will know that they can last for days. People(including myself) have no self control to not spam a fight and once the judges come in, no one wants to continue. Furthermore, there's all this nonsense about being biased,but half the people in my group were part of the DE or escuondo. While I am not trying to sound like a strict Mamby Pamby, but loyalty and offical membership to a group is key to having wars.

My proposed Turn structure

My proposed turn structure is simple, the thread creator will decide the order of the good guys and the bad guys. Whether or not this thread creator chooses to be bad or good, he or she must be first for their team. The good guys will all go first and the baddies will all go second. This way, the goodies can make their move and force the baddies to counter several attacks. Then the baddies attack, and this can force a few goodies to be tanks or decoys.

Vat
Me(creator)

The the turn structure be compromised, no one can move until the poster deletes his post or until a mod deletes the text in the post.

The basic requirements

The first requirement would be a solid story.The story must describe in detail of what the baddies are doing, what their domain is, and what the good guys are doing. In addition to this, there must be a solid starting point for everyone to start and it falls upon the author to make note of this. This doesn't mean that we should be able to picture a vivid rain forest,but we must have a sense of where we start or we will get things like this.

Well, it's similar to RPG systems like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei's Persona, etc.

An example of a starting point would be this:

We the decoy,infiltration, and attack teams start off in sunny California. We will be on a beach surround by luscious babes until everyone arrives . From this point, the manic doctor Frankenstein will open an inter-dimensional gate to the gates of limbo. There we will make a mad dash to reaches the molten chasm of hell to face to face that creepo Bacono to save the lovely Dannielle.

Post requirements:
The post must consist of X ammount of lines to include the following:

• Where you are at
• Who is with you
• What are your fellow team mates doing
• What you intend on doing

No Dialogue is required

Basic guideline for goals

The Good guys are trying to rescue their friend.

• The Good guys must reach the Gates of Hell by turn 50
• The Good guys must Draw bacono out by turn 70
• The Good guys must release Danielle from her bonds by turn 100

The bad guy(s) are trying to kill the Good guys

• The bad guy must intercept the good guys by turn 30
• The Bad guy must hold defend his domain preemptively by turn 65
• If the bad's guy's captive is free, that bad guy(s) must recapture or kill everyone at all costs

The Role of Npc's

These would normally be the creatures or people who give you quests in a Rpg game. In these role plays, the Npcs are weaker than the creator,but they are capable of hurting anyone if their attacks are ignored or missed. Npcs will have varied roles depending on the mission.

I recommend the following.

• One roleplay at a time
• A thread for introducing the mission,questions and requests for judging. A thread for Role playing.
• Slight consequences for spamming the Role play thread. I.E: Being disqualified, barred from participating in the next one, etc. No infractions or something. It should be easy enough to refrain from posting in the mission thread. >.>

Requests and procedure for judging:

The user who needs judging will go in the Intro thread and post a link to the specific post and a valid reason for the request. The judge will post in the intro thread after reading the mission thread. The Thread creator or someone like Hally will have an updated page number for questions answered.

How is it far that the Baddies get to God mod?
The Baddies will only be able to do impossible things such as regenerating their brain, manipulate dimensions, and create superior energy that can overcome spirit energy easier. The baddie Will Not be able to ignore a counter, auto hit, or do something silly such as planet busting or obtain a super hollow Ichigo form.

Can the Baddie die?
Yesum.

What if I die?
Quest over for you.

How many turns are there?
Depends on the amount of people and the objectives of the mission.

Why is Non fighting important?
The non fighting posts help give the role play a sense of where everyone is. Hally can't logically help Lunar if she is inside the castle's bowels. In addition to this, it helps set the stage of where everyone starts and how they prepare for battle. What they do before the quest is equally important to how they carry out their mission. Plus, it's just fun to read a story, no?

Probably going to stick with Vat's method indefinitely.

Seeing how fail Vats quest was because there was so many people and they got lol raped by the two easiest baddies they had. This will be hard to keep up and have people actually finish the job.

The quest Vat had was fail because there was no turn structure. To add insult to injury, 10 pages of spam. >.>

If people could follow the directions and if Hally could use her mod powers; this could work.

So this is kinda like obivion quest with a bit less chaos. The oblivion quest would have been epic had it have been a bit less chaotic. I had no idea what the heck was goin on at one point and nearly got lost. This would be fun. Better then wars. I am tired of wars as you can see the DE war kinda..........was not all that exciting this time. ppl never responded to moves the de disbanned some of my espada never showed up as well as the de so the war thing was kinda a failed attempt at something fun. This will be a good change.

It's a good idea but we need someone who will actually watch it. Vat's got poor ability to keep things running. (Ex. BFV Tourny and his quest) And the enemies need to be limited on strength. The teleporty guy was too strong.

My initial intention is to have people come up with their own. However, if we could have some people write out some nice starter points, make some neat castles(In full detail), and even come up with new missions. Then I don't see the harm.
