How did Orochimaru ditch Anko?

I was just wondering How Orochimaru got rid of Anko. Did he put her in a dark room or something?

Orochimaru supposedly rejected Anko as a subordinate, believing she did not have the lust for power or vengeance needed to fuel the Cursed Seal. Orochimaru lost interest in her, though he believed there was some value in letting her live.

Orochimaru offered to let Anko come with him despite the fact that she didn't have a lust for power because he figured she'd still be of some use to him,but instead she stayed behind shivering and Orochimaru walked away say "oh well".

I agree with this statement partially. Basically, she learned that her beloved sempai was going down a path of darkness. And she was very afraid. Although he experimented on her and she survived the curse mark, Orochimaru gave her a choice to leave with or without him. the episodes obout Anko prove that after she did in fact choose to leave Orochimaru, he had no choice but to erase her memory.
