Do the hokages advisers have more power than the hokage and if so why be hokage hopefully if and when naruto becomes hokage there is no konoha council.

Definitely wouldn't say they have more power...at least not power then Hiruzen had. They just know how to pull strings very well, and without Hiruzen to put them in check, it's free reign. With Danzo gone, I'm interested to see what kind of story plays out.

By power I assume you mean judicial. If thats what you are referring to then the answer is definately not. The council directly spoke against Naruto going on the save Gaara mission and Tsunadi put her foot down like "Im the Hokage and he goin cus I said so!"

I think they may hold the power to remove the Hokage but not to rule over the Hokages decisions.....only advise on them.

The council is about as dead as it gets...There is simply no room for them in the story anymore...

Like I said, the council is as dead as it gets...

Once Sasuke decides to kill you then there is no way out and you will be trolled till you die...

I think it's interesting, perhaps they are earned spots by those who are prestigous among the village for a long period of time. However you should recall, that while the elders can nominate who's in charge, the Jonin have a say as well, which puts the council elders in check.

I believe the council is more of an advisor role than holding any real power. They might have the ability to make things go smoother/faster with connections but I do not think they could remove a Hokage. The Jonin vote is just as important and actually seems to be a deciding factor when it comes to the Hokage seat.

I think if the Jonin voted on Danzo, Danzo wouldn't have been disappointed. But he was manipulating a lot, so who is to say he couldn't have manipulated the vote as well.
