Dividing Off-Topic

I was thinking, Off-Topic has been getting a LITTLE massive, no? There are generally less people on Off Topic than Town Bookstore. Surprisingly though, Town Bookstore only occasionally gets new threads and people post a lot in these small amount of threads. In Off-Topic, things get lost on the second page after 20 minutes if it doesn't get posted on. So I believe we should just make a few sub-catagories for off-topic so people's threads aren't wasted (or waste anybody else's for that matter). This could also encourage forum growth in that area because people will want to make up for the level of activity of the original Off-Topic (hopefully not happening though)

Please give sub-category suggestions so I can get this situated
-Entertainment
-Music
-Polls
-Chats (because no-one goes to the part SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for this)
-Random crap
-Everything else (there is a difference of random crap and everything else, but it'll probably be determined by the people)

Hey, if you guys are so negative against the subcategories idea, then what about a server-like system. There would be 3 Off-Topics, Off-Topic 1, 2 and 3. This essentially like a gaming system's server system, except it's not. This lowers traffic in Off-Topic.

Now THAT'S gotta work whichever way you look at it!

There's an (entertainment :P) and (music :P) petition that's on the thread titles, and the admins said if they get enough of those, then they will make sub forums for off topic.

I also agree that we need sub forums for off topic.

Well, then there'll still be like, thousands of threads that are like this: Yo. Entertain meh!

And about a hundred of threads that will be like this: I like song XXX, it's really great/ Video YYY rocks!

That's just about what off-topic is made of. I just don't see what categories there should be.

What do you think the purpose of the Debate Forum and Chats, Clubs forums were?

No matter what, people are still going to flock to the "Everything else, post here!" section.

I'm not sure, people have a default sense of balance. Besides, some people will be smart enough NOT to post in the everything else section so that their post is more recognized, you know?

Entertainment and Music can be combined. Not a fan of Polls--a poll should just go into whatever subforum it fits in. How are random crap and everything else not the same thing?

Thats pretty good, but like Sage Mode said wouldn't Random Crap and Everything Else be the same thing?

I like it but I would divide Off-Topic Section like this

- Music
- Movies
- TV Shows
- News
- Random

All of these things are the same, and would fit into one section (Entertainment)

These two are already sections. I don't see why Chat needs it's own section when it fits in fine with Family, etc.

This, effectively, is Off-Topic.

News could possibly go underneath Entertainment, assuming it was about the Entertainment World. If not, it would fit fine in Off Topic, or possibly debate.
