obviously hes so powerful something that simple probably couldnt kill him. why would he need it anyway he can make tailed beasts.

Well, Kisame was known as a tailed beast without a tail, so.
If Gai can own a 'Tailed Beast' with only 7 gates, I wonder if Gai will go 8 Gates and own some bijuu in the 4th war battle
