Lack of Mods in certain Sub-Forums? I think so.

There are quite a few sections that I think lack moderation in. For example, the Battlegrounds has a HUGE arsenal of Moderators, and for the most part ; are doing a good job.

To prove my point, I'll make a list of the sections, and the number of mods, then the number of active mods. Perhaps these sections should be more carefully watched over.

Rules and Policies -

4 Mods
4 Active Mods.

Granted, this section barely has any posts, so I think the number of mods here is indeed, a good number. Possibly too high if anything.

Announcements -

2 Mods
2 Active Mods

Not much to say about this section. Nobody can make threads here, so it's pretty much the least populated forum, perfect number as well as the Rules and Policies Sub-Forum.

Technical Issues -

10 Mods
8 Active Mods

This section is often spammed in, but I think it's taken care of by both Mods and ordinary users, whether it's warnings, dereps, reporting, etc. I don't think this section should have any more Mods than it already has.

Feedback Forum -

I'm on the fence when it comes to Naruto News. I think there's a set amount of users that post there, but I looked through threads, and there's a lot of spamming that hasn't really been taken care of. I think there should be at least two or three more mods in this section.

I honestly don't know why this section even exists.

I did some thread searching, and most of them are just about Naruto birthdays, so I don't think this section needs any more moderation than it's already getting.

Town Bookstore -

7 Mods
5 Active Mods

This forum has quite a low population when it comes to Mods present. Too many people spam here, and not enough people have Moderation powers to take care of it. Some frequents to the Town Bookstore like myself, Zerosameri, and Wooster or users like us would be ideal to watch over this forum.

Leaf Village Shopping District -

7 Mods
5 Active Mods

This forum barely gets any attention, so I honestly don't think moderation in this forum is such a big deal to be completely honest.

Character Talk -

7 Mods
5 Active Mods

Oh, hell. This section gets so much spam, it would blow up the fattest person in the world. We need more Mods in this section to enforce the rules. This is probably the worst section, right next to the dreaded Polls section of the forums.

This section is just like Polls and Character talk, but for some reason, the spamming is minimal, and by far - less than character talk and poll section spamming.

This is full of intelligent posts and some theories, although most are posted in the Town Bookstore segment of the forums. I think moderation in this section is just fine.

This section is pure bliss. I love it, probably because of the great moderation going on in it.

Make-Out Paradise -

5 Active Mods

This gets a bit repetitive, but there's not much anybody can do.

There shouldn't be anymore Mods here, nobody posts here.

6 Active Mods (Finally a pair of different numbers, I'm sick of 7 and 5.

Well, this is fine for moderation, it's well taken care of.

There's a lot of post farming here, and I think we need more mods here for sure. There should really be some more.

The Rest of The Town Cinema and Ninja Training Grounds are fine in my opinion.

Viz Anime and Manga and other Anime and Manga are fine as well, not too much moderating is even needed in those sections anyway.

Please do vote on the poll, and please post your comments on my ideas in this thread, I just spent the last 2 hours making this.

There are not no 5 active mods in Town Bookstore. Only 1 post there once in a blue moon... And one other dude occasionally changes people post.

Edit: We really don't need any more mods any were. Plus if there is any issues you have like 6 resources

-PM Smod
-Report them (if it's bad enough)

We're not going to get all the spam. It's impossible.

That said, I have seen the Character Talk section, and haven't seen very much spam there.

The Polls section is the most spammy, but I'm not going to go through all of it looking for 5 month old posts to get rid of it all.

We don't need mods, we have plenty, we have plenty of Super Mods. What we would get more of, is FAIL members who frequent those sections. But seeing as not many people go there, it's not easy to know if there's anyone responsible in there.

That said, I see no reason to put the foot down on little spam. It's basically the most minimal infraction in the book.

Wut? This is the only one I can see that is really spammy. Are you being serious? Or just lazy, and not wanting to type anymore?. Because I see spam a lot in the Ninja Training Grounds Section. I do what I can to prevent it when Im in that section. But, more mods there would be nice :o Asides that, I really dont think any of those sections need anymore mods than they already have.

Side Note: I for one am I fan Naruto Events sub form because I post in there every so often when a NAruto related event pop's up. Also say that you'll be a good mode is a sure way to be one

I don't really think Naruto Events needs any, though. Not enough people post there.

There is alot of Spam to go through and some spam is good as long its not those buy this crap. Spam produces post and bump up the sections for more people to look at. A little isnt so bad.

That is what we have FAIL for, to supplement the mods, to get the trollers.

If there really is a problem in a certain section or subforum that a FAIL member can't handle, it's not a problem to PM an active mod and ask them to take care of it.

My point is there is almost always someone around, whether it's a mod, supermod or FAIL member, keeping an eye on things.

Yup. Being a frequent to that forum I can see there is no spam there anymore. It's been taken care of. I'm not lazy, I wouldn't have made this in the first place if I were, now would I?

That's MY point. Is every mod, Smod or FAIL member going to be online at the same time? Probably not.

What I am saying to you is that there is always going to be somebody online that you can contact for help.

If someone is becoming a problem in one of these sections that aren't frequented, contact someone like me, who is always online and has power everywhere. If it's not a big deal though, I will ignore the request. Spam is only bad enough if it is disrupting the forum experience for multiple users. If people want to increase their imaginary numbers, I'm not going to go out of my way to check a section that no one cares about, unless informed by someone else.

Maik and Ashen are almost always one, and they usually lapse each others times. We don't need more mods, and we're always adding to FAIL.

There don't need to be anymore mods, I haven't seen any huge problems and problems can be taken care of by FAIL or SMods that are online, an increase in mods wouldn't help, that's like pouring water into a glass that is already full enough.
