License to have kids

That's unhuman. Sexual intecourse is natural amongst people and of course they are going to do it. And they may have an accident.

But maybe while they are pregnant they could take a test to see whether or not they are fit to be a parent and if they are they get a liscense. That is the only way it could work.

So what your saying is someone who randomly ended up getting pregnant and not know it's father who? If that's so the license will be a failed since it's an accident. Since it's an accident, the judge will know. Even if this license is not successful with this accident; look at a driver license for example childrens and adults who don't know how to drive could still take their car and start driving in it. Even though they know there is license and law inforce in order to drive.


What medical technology will we neccessarly need? To have it work when it can work some what such like driver license.

Teenagers are already rebellious against the law, a license won't change anything.

America has already gone way past its roots of freedom with ridiculous laws.
This will just make teenagers more likely to do it.

I suppose you may be correct. More you focus on telling someone not to do it, the more they will do it. However that may not always be the case though.

Whether it is natural or not is irrelevant. The thing that matters is the health and safety child/children being born.

Simply put, many people are just not competent or in enough control of their own lives to have the responsibility of raising children. (ex: Drug addicts, alchoholics, rapists, people who can barely afford to take care of themselves.)

Thus when we aquire the technology to completely control the outcome of intercourse we need to use it to protect future generations.

It is the case. It won't do anything and shouldn't be done.
Maybe instead of wanting the government to create more ways to try and stop kids from having sex with each other (which obviously only makes them want to more), the parents should take responsibility for their own damn kids, like they are supposed to.

You are a foolish idealist. In a perfect world, people would have the common sense not to have sex if there was a possibility that they may conceive a child they can't take care of. However, we don't live in such a world. Furthermore, your whole notion of control is far fetched because you can't prevent people from having sex; especially those outside the system.

I 100% agree with Mai.

People are under the impression that certain laws will keep children from reacting negatively. This is usually 99% incorrect. Generally, when a parent tells their child to not do something, they will do the complete opposite for one reason or another. That is how most children think. As Mai stated, has the drinking and smoking laws stopped kids? Um, hell no. I know 14 year olds that drink more than Wooster. I also agree with Kyousei about stopping something that is completely natural. Why should anyone need a license to do something that naturally happens with their body? That is idiotic and unwise. As a woman, I find it absurd that a man can tell me what I can and can not do with my body. If anyone should be debating this issue, it should be a group of women because we are the ones that bare children. Men do not.
