Default Bumping idea
When you bump a thread, you should be able to delete your post and have the bump stay effective rather than having it go back down to the threads' original spot.

A better solution would be to enable a BuMP button which allowed you to bump a thread every so often.

Once is enough. Bumping a thread multiple times is very annoying and the thread owner should be able to disable the bump button for their thread if it's unwanted.

I say 20 minutes I'd say.

And, contest threads are special. They can bump by posting if they cant use the bump button then and there.
