A forum idea

So i've been thinking...
why wait and keep refreshing your browser to see if one of your friends wrote back on one of your post ect.. when we could have a built in chat!!
You could message your friends or online users!! It would be alot easier then PMing or waiting for a reply!!

Why do that, when you could just refresh and see if they posted?

And there's already a Naruto forum chat, just not on this site.

Its kinda annyoing to constantly refresh the page,and thats why we need one here!!

Sometimes there are things that you just have to deal with. It's not really a necessity.

Chatboxes are dangerous. Not for the fact you can exploit them, it's because they really drag a server down. Viz Media's servers seem to always have problems, so putting a chatbox on here = server is destroyed due to overload.

plus it makes it easier for someone to hack into your computer or server, something like that, i learned it while helping my stepdad with his college homework, that thin clients (like IM'ing) are faster, but more vulnerable to hacking than fat clients (like messaging)

@OP: Just pm. What's the point of a chat? People will respond to that just as fast as they will a pm.

I use to hang out on this one site with a chat box, well it was called a Shout Box, but what's the difference? It was really cool, I wouldn't mind one on here. Oh and mods on the site could ban people from the chat too.

@Jonesy: That thing was made for vB2! It's really dated and is surely not going to work here.

Dunno why a mod hasn't closed this, because the answer will be no.

I agree we do need a chat. seriosuly it takes way to long to pm.. i think the noobier users need more attention
