Naruto RPG

Here's a game idea for future naruto games, it would be cool to make a naruto rpg game that is completely customization of jutsu, character, village and any other things you could think of then use your charchter in the world of naruto and talk to naruto characters to train and create new jutsu with them maybe starting this topic could inspire game creaters to make this game tell me if you think this idea for a game is stupid.

It's certainly not stupid, but it would be very hard to pull off. I've programmed some games before, and a game that customizable is a tough thing to do. That's like combining Little Big Planet with Second Life and throwing Naruto all over it, which sounds pretty tight.

It would be fun if they could do it, though .

that sounds preety cool but since you make the jutsu they probobly make it so it would take all your chakra and they`d might make it take time for u to do the jutsu leaving you wide open so it might have to be used as a last resort like using awakining mode in ultimate ninja storm

It'd be pretty easy to make it so the amount of chakra a jutsu used was based on how powerful it was. That's how the spell system worked in Oblivion and Morrowind.

what would be really interesting, albiet a bit taxing for the longer justus would be to have all the handseals represent a different key or something so that you could feel like you were actualy preforming each of the jutsus one seal at a time... of course people would eventually just use macros to get around it(or more likely just have one button jutsus supported in-game), but I still think it would be an interesting aspect to have in game.

Actually I've seen one which is still being made, but I'm not sure if they gave up on it or when they'll be finished.

hmmm...that would be kool...what if they made a game like Inuyasha the secret of the cursed mask, if you haven't played it its basically you get to make ur character and fall in love with one of the characters or be best friends... it was fun for about 2 weeks, although inuyasha is kinda old...they keep showing it on adult swim

itd also be cool if they made it mutiplayer storymode and made it like Fusion Fall where you can walk around and team up but put naruto bleach inuyasha ya know the good anime and make it online

I agree. That'd probably be alot better than having one with just Naruto. It'd be kind of like City of Heroes meets Jump Ultimate Stars, in terms of the cast, anyway.

They should make it so people around the world could play it and allow anyone to join any team. Also they could make a game that has all the anime charaters from any anime.

they could mabey let u team up with the anime chars. and make ur own char. to unlock their moves and make wepons to use thoese moves

Hm, This isnt RPG based, but what if it was a RTG`s based game like Halo Wars? You can control different ninja`s and train them at different buildings. And every nation (players choose which nation they would like to be before starting the game) gets a leader. (or hero) Like for the Leaf village it would be hokage etc.

I like that last part but that would be hard to do also if you could put other anime in it unless they made a version of this for each anime that would be almst impossible what ive been talking about is pretty much start out as genin and grow up like in fable as u grow unlock new chakra forms and combine the forms with your two chakra natures that you would eventually spend time learning the two u want. Not to menchin the idea of the nation u want to be in

thats kinda my idea and i guess your right but thats pretty much a naruto version of bladestorm which is close but not a good idea for a naruto game. although you have the right idea as far as choosing and custimizing your own story line.

This all sounds great, but so complicated to program... Who knows, though...it could happen (That'd be fantastic!). With the DS, you could show the 12 main hand signs and touch them in the proper order for the jutsu you're trying to do. (Ushi U Saru does lightning blade - or if they don't want to use the Japanese names - Ox, Hare, Monkey). That would solve the problem of getting the feel of doing the jutsu yourself. And if you messed up, the jutsu wouldn't work....

My only issue with this is the fact you can customize the jutsu's this would eventully break the game im sorry but its not like THPS where you can make your moves

But if there was a naruto MMORPG out there the "costume" would tottaly custom and if you think about the world of naruto is a clash of two game types

Example:
WoW(Uber threw weapons/armor)
CoH(Uber threw Powers/Enhancements)

These games come with limitations costume and level caps alike

A game like Naruto would be a fusion of both. meaning threw jutsu's you can be powerful and/or threw armor/weapons you can be powerful

To make the game appeal to the user/players you would need an edge for example

Remove the need to gain levels, and XP

By removing a level cap(ie ultimate ending) you make the game almost limitless(Broke you say? no i think not)

To hinder the player from reaching ultimate power you make trails to place ninja to go threw so that he/she may earn the right to learn from any trainer of players choice.

This means for example you make a Ninja he goes threw the acadamy learning the basic jutsu, Then when he/she make's 'Genin' the player can train with a trainer and begins a path that the more he progresses down it the more powerful he/she becomes(broke still? i think not). even at the lowest level you can earn the right to train many paths but this takes time to extend your list. Now you can enhance your jutsu's with things like weapons/armor and rings. this is it for now i got more waiting on response from VIZ so i can get some help in development

My idea has to do with a popular Naruto rpg that has already come out. it is called: Naruto Path of a ninja 2. It was made by Tomy. It was based on an original story line used with characters with from the original series. I have ideas for the following characters:

Shikamaru: In the Path of the ninja two, he had a lot of cool attacks like shadow possession, shadow sinking, and shadow strangle but none of these did actual damage. They either paralyzed or killed an enemy which was cool but they weren't very accurate. He had only two attacks that did damage which were kunai bomb jutsu and eight way kunai jutsu. What i would do for a possible Path of the ninja shippuden game is add shadow stitching jutsu, eight way kunai bomb jutsu, and an original one i thought of called shadow controlling jutsu where you could take control of an enemy and have it hurt another enemy.

Naruto: Obviously he would have Giant Rasengan and Rasen-shuriken where he would have to have clones out or they could have him use sage mode and he wouldn't need clones. He could also summon the 4 frog warriors at once like he does in the manga. he could also use an attack called wind split where he slices an enemy with wind chakra like in the sora arc.

Saskue: He could have an attack called snake shield that would raise his defense and then have a special attack with that cool new sharingan.

There are alot of new and cool attacks they could use or create based off of shippuden. Path of the ninja 2 had and still has an amazing online following for a game that was based off of an anime and a shippuden path of the ninja game would do the same.
