There was nothing to prove the Hyuga Bloodline's origin to reside within the Uchiha.

Yes, there were two groups that formed the Leaf Village. Yes, those two groups were founded by two men, one, the founder of the Uchiha, and the other, the founder of the Senju.
But what's to suggest the Hyuga are merely descendants of the elder brother?
What's to disprove the possibility of their origin residing within an entirely different area;
What's to disprove the possibility that the Hyuga moved into the Leaf village, and had not potentially been there from the start?


Additionally, the Uchiha first attempted to cease power, and failed.
Over the course of at least one generation, their clan became disrespected.
And it remains that way, even after Itachi slaughtered the lot of them.

So why on Earth is Hyuga the so-called,"renown and well-respected' clan, then, if it is a direct(yes, direct, because it posses an eye-kekke-genkai) descendant of the Uchiha?
It doesn't make any sense.



When Neji fought Naruto, he explained the dispute that arose between the Hyuga clan and those from the Land of Lightning essentially upon their arrival into the Hidden Leaf Village.

Perhaps both people were associated with one-another in another area.


It is just not consistent.

I honestly believe that the Hyuuga are there own group of people and are not related to the Sage. My point was that the Uchiha are related to the Sage. I was not contending that the Hyuuga descended from the Uchiha.

I think they are their own people group that joined the ranks of the leaf village early in it's foundation.

As for fact, Kishimoto likes to retcon events. Fact in the manga has changed quite a bit from the beginning of the series. For example, Shukaku was supposed to be the spirit of a monk, but Kishi retconned it into the one tailed beast.
