Who wins in a battle of intelligence?

Type of battle: To the death.

Conditions: The Death Note exists and both people have no knowledge of it. Shika finds it first. Light and Shika both don't know each other.

Shikamaru has shown battle tactical planning and intelligence.

Light Yagamai has shown more versatility.
He has superior knowledge and intelligence well rounded and etc.

Light has shown better tracking versatility and espionage knowledge.

While Shikamaru has shown better battle knowledge.

Considering this isn't a simple battle scenario, I say Light is smarter in said situation and should win.
