Instant Replay In Baseball

So, Maikeru and myself had a chat about this, but I wanted to see how everyone else feels about the topic.

I think baseball needs it. They have it for home run foul balls, why not for all foul balls? Like last night, Phills vs Marlins, the umpire royally screwed up one fair ball, calling it foul and it mucked up the whole game. A 'Challenge Flag' so to speak.

This cant be used for balls and strikes though, seeing how its overkill.

I remember that. That was terrible. Felt bad for that pitcher.

My cousin was an umpire in little league and it's very difficult.
Adding in instant replay could cause major league umpires to lose their jobs.

Well the umpire would still make calls, just use it as backup.

Horribly, awful idea.

Baseball is long enough as it is. Instant replay should remain in its limited role.
Every close foul ball waiting for IR? Yuck. Not to mention, base running. Of course, baseball is different from other sports as a call changes a players actions( which base are safe for example). How would you deal with a case of a blown call with runners on the bases?

Just live with blown calls they happen. It is part of the game like anything else.
