Well how about this. If Hidan can't get close to Kisame (though I think he could) then Kisame would probably win. However if Hidan does get it to be close range I think he would probably win. There are many possible events that could happen which is why I say that this fight would be epic and even.

So we agree at long range Kisame wins?

haha I think I made good progress since i got at least some people to believe that it would be an even match.

Since I wasn't here, I'd like to know how so.

And at close range, I still think that Kisame could easily beat Hidan. If Shika was able to outsmart Hidan at close range, I think that Kisame (who at 30% fought toe to toe with Gai, a taijutsu specialist) would still be able to pwn Hidan at close range.

You realize that the only thing Shikamaru did was dodge one time right? If Hidan kept going at him Shikamaru would have been dead the only reason he didn't was because he thought that he did cut him because Shikamaru even put some blood on his cheek to make it look like a cut. If you were Hidan I don't think you would keep swinging if you saw the blood on Shikamaru's cheek and spike.

How can you possibly determine that? There would be no need to keep slicing away at Shikamaru if you had the blood on the spike and saw the blood on his cheek. But obviously you are smart enough to see past that.

Why 3? Oh and I think I know why he didn't cut more than once. There are 2 reasons in his defense. Number 1 Hidan was really eager to kill him with the curse and 2 he probably wanted to hurry back to Kakuzu.
