Shikamaru VS Sai help

I need help in Shikamaru VS Sai:

1. I already used all my power-ups for the Kisame VS Gai and Kakashi VS Deidara......I thought those power-ups would be different everytime I battle but it stays the same, wth?

2. Shikamaru, to me, is slow at attacking and everything. I use the Block jutsu sometimes and the L button a lot (yeah I know it wastes chakra, anyway)

I kept losing to Sai IN STORY MODE, I need crappin' help.

I used XB (X-Jump, B-Heavy Attack) for Shikamaru to do that air spiting thing, throwing kunais in the air thing, XB.

Still, I stil lost to Sai.

Like effing whatever times, i am sure it's over 25 times!! For like wasted 2 hours.

Any tips or cheats to get past this fight so i can beat Sai one down?

BBYY Wait a few seconds ( two to be persice ) and press A ( if you don't have your chakra Bar filled up do the bbyy thing agian..Try using the combo on your ds.

Tip
If you are on the ground hold down the down button or use a substitution jutsu to escape and attack

For all the battles in this game all you have to do is either:
1. Keep substituting
2. Use your special

This is why I don't like the fighting system in this game.

I read it, but it seems your just not applying your moves correctly. Do not do the kunai thing, it does little damage.

Yeah, I only use it once-awhile.

I mostly use it on fast opponents to just slow them down.

I just found out something, while you are attacking use a substitution and it will cost very little chakra. You can keep on doing this to hit them a few times from the back and then when they substitute, you substitute also. It works most of the time.

...I pasted that game in under 2 hours....and I just got it..
Anyway, what you do is you have to use the B button attacks more offten and when he is about to strick, punsh the up or down key to avoid it. Or press the L. Just make sure you don't lose more then half of your health or else he'll K.O you with his jutsu. Hope this helps.

It took me like 20 tries on both Normal, and Hard to beat Sai, but here's an easy combo with Shikamaru I figured out: Y, B, B, B, Y. Takes a couple tries to get, but knocks down your opponent + it builds up your chakra alot. Repeat until chakra is maxed out, then right when they get up, use Shikamaru's ultimate jutsu.
