Itai Riki: The Silent One

I felt like finally putting up something of mine, so I'm going to put up this story. I really hope you like it. I will add more because it's not a complete idea. I will take anyone's opinions and NOT down rep them for complaints.

It's about a girl who is still having trouble with the human world even though she had 673 years of practice. She later forms a group with a bunch of Novelty school kids that try to discover things that aren't of the human world and send them back to their own dimension. The prologue takes place 10 years before the actual story and shows how the team is formed.

Basically, the 5 main elements (space, time, being, dimensions, and life) put into human forms. They have a core, which is similar to the heart except it is smaller and as hard as a rock. They have no biological birth parents but call each other sister/brother to not feel so lonely. Also, they sort through souls of the dead. They can change anything about themselves (ie. appearence, attetion span, personality).

Occurs only in the Origins category. Some of the Origins go crazy and start to kill the younger ones after years of solitude.

The name the government gave to people who are vampires, werewolves, etc. They must attend school like normal humans but go to a school designed especially for them.

The girl is not human. She does not age either because her species allows her to control anything about her (i.e.: height, weight, looks). If she did age, she'd be really wrinkly.

Prologue: Part 1
Doyle Dunnigan and Chad Mason sat next to each other in homeroom, like they always did in every other class. But Winsly Westly's School for Gifted Novelties was not like other schools. First, Principal Noochense is insane. He has "visited" the Oregon State Hospital three times, each for a different reason. Second, once you are assigned your teacher, you're stuck with them for the rest of your life at school. And finally, both the students and staff aren't human.

Principal Noochence walked into the room wearing a mask made to look like Daffy Duck. "Good morning class," he said in the worst impression of a cartoon duck.

"Good morning, Principal Noochence," the class replied in unison.

"This morning Mr. Candoo called us and told us he is quitting. So I'd like to introduce you to your new teacher, Miss Riki."

Shirley raised her hand and asked, "What if this teacher is completely insane and besides, Mr. Candoo was he best wizard who could teach chemistry."

Principal Noochence made a shocked and, even though he was wearing a mask, the whole class saw it. He finally replied, "I wouldn't insult this one." He left the room and a beautiful, tall, frail-looking woman walked in. She was so tall, in fact, that she had to duck down so she wouldn't hit her head on the doorway.

She sat down at he computer chair at her desk and something weird happened. A piece of chalk started to write on the board. It wrote, "You will call me Riki. I hate to talk but if I have to, I will. I will not tell you what type of Novelty I am so don't ask. Instead of having a specific time limit, I will play five songs on my radio. You nust be in your seat when the final song ends. We will use the rest of homeroom to get to know each other, so, I'll start." The chalk fell back into its original spot and Riki spoke, "My name is Riki. I like the Beatles and eatng ice cream and I hate talking. I never thought of my dreams and I'm pretty sure I don't have any hobbies. So let's start with you at the front on my far right." She pointed to Chad.

Chad stood up, "My name is Chad Mason. I like football and I hate people who are taller than me. My hobby is playing football everywhere and my dream is to be the best Novelty to play football." Chad sat down and Doyle stood up.

"My name is Doyle Dunnigan. I like anything relaxing, calm, or quiet and hate hustle and bustle. My hobby is relaxing and my dream is to be normal."

Riki yawned, "Average is boring. But you can sit down now. Girl in pink, your turn."

The girl in pink stood up before Doyle could sit down. "I am Shirley McHan and I like the here and now. I absolutely hate anything boring. My dream is to have a family witha certain someone." She looked at Doyle, but everyone already knew who it was. "And my hobby is secretly admiring boys I think that are boyfriend material." Shirley gave a smile and sat down.

"Another boring person. Doesn't anyone want some action in their life?" Riki stood up as she said this. "I know you guys are only about 16 but usually teenagers have something more in...: Now, right as Riki was going to say mind, she fell flat on the floor.

Rebecca Bullman stood up in her chair with her hands flat on her desk and shouted, "Are you alright, Riki?" The rest of the class just leaned in a little to see her on the floo, except Kevin Klice who didn't want a part of anything.

Riki shot her arm way up with her thumb reaching for the sky. She stood up and giggled with a huge smile on her face.

"Oh, so you're okay," Shirley said disappointed." Just one question: What did you trip on?"

"Uh... I honestly don't know," Riki replied, shrugging her shoulderd. "Well as I was saying, who wants a life of action?" Only one person raised their hand, and that was surprisingly, Kevin Klice.

FINALLY! appeared on the board in huge letters. "So, who are you and why do you want this life?"

"I'm Kevin Klice and I hate this boring life of mine. Besides, my parents are dead so they wouldn't care."

"Oh, well let's finish the intros."

Prologue - Part 2
The bell for 2nd period rang and everyone in Riki's class, including Riki, rushed to the gym locker rooms along Mr. Shiiswii's class. Riki walked through the hall with two books, each titled "How to Fit in With Real People" buyt by different people, and everyone moved out her way because she was so tall.

Rebecca and Doyle came up behind Riki and tapped her on the shoulder. Riki spooked and dropped her books. Doyle spoke, "Oh, sorry. Um, I was wondering if you could pair me up with Kevin Klice for Swordplay and Animal Fighting class? Everyone tells me how he'd be the perfect sparring partner for me."

Riki nodded, picked up her books and started reading again.

"Thanks," Doyle said with a smile and left.

Rebecca hesistantly came up next, "I was, um, wondering if you could, um, pair me up with Chad Mason?"

Riki raised an eyebrow at Rebecca. Rebecca processed it as a: "Why?", even though Riki was trying to say: "Uh, I didn't hear a word you just said but I'm going to play along anyways."

"Well, I, uh, really like Chad."

Riki closed her eyes and nodded, trying to say: "I still don't know what you're saying."

Rebecca interpretted it wrong, again, and said, "Thanks!" and left.

Riki walked into the girl's locker room and put ther books down. She found a pair of gym clothes on the office desk with a note. It read:

Miss Riki,

Here is your uniform for gym QUACK. You seemed like an extra long medium to me QUACK.

Riki changed into the proper gym uniform. She pulled her hair up into a bun. After she finished, a few strands were out of order but she didn't care.

Hopefully I can chop this hair off soon, Riki thought to herslf. She looked at the timer on the desk. Aw man! I forgot to set the timer!

Riki stepped out of the office and shouted, "Time to get going! Anyone who isn't ready has to get a late pass!" Riki walked into the gym, picking her feet up high like she was marching, and all the girls followed.

"Hi, I'm Mr. Shiiswii. My class works with yours every gym class. Is there anything you need?" He held out his hand for Riki to shake it.

She shook his hand and said, " Do you think you could do the talking?"

Mr. Shiiswii gave a surprised look like no one ever asked him that before because no one did. "Um, sure," he replied. He handed a clipboard to Riki with a piece of paper on it. "You can make the matches today."

Riki looked at the paper. I hope I don't mess this up, she thought to herself and started filling it out.

Mr. Shiiswii started class, "Alright everyone, this is Riki," he pointed," She's filling in for Mr. Candoo, som let's start class. Riki? Do you have the first five matches set up?"

"Can we do a demonstration first? I'm not done yet!" Riki said struggling to fill in the sheet.

"Uh, okay? But how are you going to fight and fill that in at the same time?"

A black and white version of Riki appeared with sword in hand and Ichigo standing next to the copy. Everyone was shocked, except Riki who was still filling out the sheet. "Don't worry, I'll be the one fighting," the copy said.

Mr. Shiiswii gave a smile. He summoned his sword and abnormally large Tasmanian Devil, Devi. "Let's start then. I'll go first."

"The new teacher is gonna get her ass kicked," some of the kids whispered.

"We're really lucky the fight ended before 3rd period started," Chad said coming out of the locker room, smiling.

"I'm just surprised that Riki beat Mr. Shiiswii," Doyle replied, "and I'm glad we have first lunch, too."

"Yeha, I couldn't agree more." They were the first ones in the lunchroom, excluding the teachers, even though they had to stop at their lockers to get their lunches. They sat atone of the small round tables and unpacked their lunches as the crowd of students started to pile in. Rebecca, Dylyn Sham, and Riley Sham sat with them.

Doyle looked over at Kevin Klice who was eating all alone. He gathered his lunch, got up, and started walking over to Kevin's table.

"Where you goin' buddy?" Chad asked.

"I'm gonna go sit with Kevin, he seems kinda lonely over there."

Are you crazy? He could kill you! You don't even know what Novelty he is!"

"So? School board says that students can't use their powers on school grounds." Doyle kept walking towards Kevin while Chad was left speechless. "Mind if I join you?"

"Same here?" Dylyn said, running up behind Doyle.

"Fine. Just don't bother me," Kevin replied.

As Doyle and Dylyn sat down Riki came over and sat down, too. All she had for lunch was a large apple in her hand. "Adults are over-rated," she said.

Dylyn laughed, "Aren't you an adult?"

"Nope. I'm a kid compared to my siblings. Besides, they laughed at my epic fall this morning."

"That was pretty funny, actually," Kevin said, eating his churro.

"How about we make a club? Just the four us?" Doyle asked. Everyone at the table agreed. "Alright, then we'll call it..."

Dylyn interrupted. "Adults Are Over-rated! Oh, wait. My sister would probably want to join, though."

"That'll be fine. Since, both of you could pass as one person," Riki replied and everyone laughed, even Kevin.

Don't worry. Alot of writers have their bad moments.
But once you started you probably can't stop anymore
Just try to visualize what's going to happen.
And write something first, you can always correct it.
