Well there is somewhat of a better chance of him actually being Obito since Madara has pretty much been proven wrong. But, I still can't see him as that.

It cant be obito anymore

it is revealed that tobi worked with madara when he was alive.. which was the time when the first hokage was young... obito isnt even born back then..

this chapter killed obito = tobi theory ..

Kakashi Gaiden was pretty filler-like , Obito was a stupid and weak ninja, he could've never become a high S-rank strong shinobi, suddenly fighting Minato, controlling Kyubi, getting the Rinnegan. Kishi is just manipulating you, IMO, he did all of this on purpose, so it would lead to Obito but in the end he tricks us by putting someone else, someone to be pretty logical, a strong ninja, not a stupid one.

Omega You're story is great besides couple detailes. First of all Madara couldn't attack Konoha and then give Kagami his Mangekyo Sharingan because ,as we see in Naruto mom's story, Minato fights against Tobi who summons and controls Kyuubi, meaning Madara might have already been dead. Another proof for that would be fact that Tobi never actually used his Mangekyo meaning he might as well be Obito who wasn't too skilled in awakening his Sharingan and Mangekyo is 3 lvls afterwards...Additionaly we see Kakashi going to Obito's grave saying that he will fight for what he died for but I don't believe it actually is Obito.
I can't wait to see how it all works out. I'm glad Itachi's alive tho xP

Quick note: After reading the chapter again I realized Kyuubi wants to lend Naruto all his power to defeat Madara because he hates him. That means that Tobi can somehow be Madara (Kyuubi wouldn't mistake their chakras right?).

Guys don't exclude Madara (see my post above). Madara said something about "him" when he was resurrected. That can mean a lot of things but since Kyuubi recognized Madara's chakra (and it was Tobi who attacked Konoha) It appears that Madara might have created a clone or something by using his Rinnegan so it has the same chakra flow and everything. As a proof-Madara knows Tobi. "it must be HIS doing. Who performed ressurection technique?" "me, kabuto HIS assistant". I don't know guys. There's a lot going on with the whole clonning business so perhaps my assumptions are right...

personally i havent ruled out madara as being behind the mask
but i dont think it is him

tobi goes around calling himself madara uchiha
then we see madaras body resurrected and because of that it makes us wonder who is really behind the mask...then we find out its madara :P
its not really a surprise since he was claiming to b madara anyway so it will be way more exciting when we find out who it really is...and if its not madara

any other character will make for a awesome storyline

i still believe its kagami even tho i have had some doubts because he was in a filler ...well flashback when danzo was dying
i dont believe kagami has madaras eyes...he is a uchiha so he has his own eyes...just learnt the secrets to the sharingan from madara

but im certain its NOT obito :P he was only in a filler...and he was crushed by a rock :P
ppl seem to think its him because tobi uses his right sharingan and has similar hair
when tobi killed konan...he used both sharigan with like the top half of his masked broken off

It can be Obito because that was not just a filler but also in a manga, as was the event with the second hokage but it was never specified what happened to him though it is assumed he died in the massacre, Fugaku is known to have been killed in the massacre as we all watched or read him die, and Madara is known to be dead, especially if you read the manga online as i am almost sure the episode has not come out yet so it most likely has to be Kagami

Well, if Madara gave his eyes to Kagami before dying, then it would make sense for Tobi to already have the rinnegan, why would he go looking for it(Madara said he awoke rinnegan shortly before his death).

i think its to show all of the elders from that time in 1 group so we know they r the same age as each other. He is a known character (not very known but we still know he exists) and there has been nothing about him dying.

If you notice, whenever the 2nd hokage says Hiruzen's name he says "saru" istead of the full "saruTOBI" he left off tobi! how obious is that. this could be a devious clue from kishi that tobi is among those six. therefore, The theory that Tobi is Kagami is strengthened. LOL i cant believe i didnt see this sooner!!!!

after reading some more i think Kagami is a good candidate. why? because we don't know much about him and most of the candidates we know about have issues.

I don't think its Tobi-rama anymore since i read Tobirama used water jutsu, and Tobi doesn't use that at all.

to me its more likely somebody we don't know much about like Kagami, and his age fits of how he knows so much, and so mysterious also.

i definitely don't think its Obito....

right now i'm thinking Tobi is Kagami or a part of Madara....still really wonder what Tobi meant by making himself whole again. something must have happened to him to make him weaker than he used to be...
