Personality: A stubborn and aggressive kunoichi with a hostile tongue. Kazumi tends to only care for herself, seeing other humans as treacherous and conniving beings.

Biography: Growing up during rough hardships, Kazumi is the eldest daughter of Daichi Saitama, leader of the Saitama Clan. As a child, Kazumi carried heavy burdens which lead to her premature development. Daichi -- Kazumi's Father -- was a rather ruthless man, being extremely stern toward Kazumi due to his yearning for a son. The history of the Saitama Clan carries back generations; men were always put before women. This assumption would forever make Kazumi's life complicated. Wanting to become a shinobi, Kazumi trained mercilessly. She was determined to prove to him that she was just as good as any man, but no matter how hard she trained, it was never good enough for her father. Due to health concerns, Fumiko -- Kazumi's Mother -- was unable to bare anymore children. This embittered Daichi to where it was not uncommon for Kazumi to hear her mother cry out in apologies just before her father would smack her to the ground. Kazumi often hated her mother for being so weak and allowing a man to hit her around, though this did not compare to the hatred she felt for her father. One day, just before midnight, Daichi's animosity reached another level when he reached out to clutch his hands around Fumiko's neck. Unnoticed, Kazumi stood hopelessly by the wooden Shoji door. Before her adolescent eyes, she watched as her mother was strangled to death by her father; she was eight. Two years later, Daichi remarried and his new wife bore a son, Akio. Akio was immediately proclaimed as Heir to the Saitama Clan.

Graduating from the Ninja Academy at twelve, Kazumi and her two new teammates -- Eiji Sato and Takumi Nakamura -- started Genin ranked missions with their Jounin leader, Susanoo Arai. After only a year, Susanoo enrolled the three Genin into the Chunin exams. Impressed with Team Honoo's skills and potential, all three Genin were promoted to Chunin. Team Honoo eventually split apart. Kazumi successfully began leading her own platoons on missions, failure was not an option. Three years passed before Kazumi was finally advanced to Jounin ranking. Her younger brother, Akio, was now six and showing great potential as their father's successor. Though eldest, Kazumi was denied rightful position as Heir to the Saitama Clan due to her gender. For this, Kazumi did not return home often and regularly stayed at the Hidden Leaf which was not far from the Flame. Upon one visit, she encountered a young male with peculiar optics which were very pale, as if he were blind. He had fair skin with long, lustrous dark brown hair. She was unsure of his name, but almost instantaneously, she wanted to know this male. This was very eccentric, considering Kazumi normally suppressed human emotions.

Years and years of dispute among the Flame and another village -- A much larger village -- called The Village of the Unknown, eventually caused mutiny between the two leaders. So much mutiny, that the leader of the Unknown declared a war against the Flame. As a shinobi of the Flame, it was Kazumi's duty to protect her village and its people. The Unknown was allied with a lot of other villages while the Flame stood alone; the Flame would not stand a chance. Taking matters into her own hands, Kazumi rushed toward a village she often visited, The Hidden Leaf. The people of the Leaf were always so amiable and generous; she knew the Hokage would help her village if she only pleaded. There would not be much time before the Unknown plotted their assault.
