I doubt if tobi is really madara, its just too damn straight forward and not really in sync with all the big revelations made through out the series. The things that bug me

1. he has never shown even MS powers
2. only one eye is shown through that spiral mask which automatically attracts attention to the sharingan eye. Makes you feel like he wants people to look exclusively at sharingan and nothing else.
3. what or who was in the coffin?
4. His technique is a upgraded version of kakashi's and yondaime's techniques put together.
5. Hasnt really shown any specifically EMS related powers. Though this can be explained as plot since pain never showed CT and ST before attacking konoha.

I believed it at first, but I'm not sure anymore. I don't feel like the person that is known as "Tobi" is the original body of Madara. Kabuto said "You go by Madara these days", which I take to mean that Madara is probably not the face behind the mask. He may be the one pulling the strings, but I don't think he's who he says he is.

no i didnt because i read the manga already. he's not madara because they showed the real madara revived by kabuto using the edo tensei in the manga. even till now the masked man has not yet been revealed.

Tobi is not Madara.

i didnt believe it as such. I just thought Tobi was being an idiot and childish when he said that ... but then i didnt realise it would be such a MASSIVE mystery.. it better be a good suprise.. nekss minnute he IS madara ohh what a laugh that would be !!!

Ok, first off, yes, there is a coincidence that tobi has one sharingan, in the right eye. Kakashi took the left eye from Obito. And yes there isn't proof that obito died in that cave in. But remember, Madara took his brother Izuna's eyes when he started going blind. Izuna then went blind and died honorably in battle, there was funeral to follow. Shotly after the fight with Hishirama before Madara's "death". He awakened his own rinnegan, which is in Tobi's left eye during the fourth great ninja war. On top of all, during the fourth war, Madara's real body, infused with hishirama's genetics, comes back under kabuto's control and fights the five kages, under the Edo Tensei jutsu of reanimation. And in order for this jutsu to work, the person has to have died. because you have to bring back there soul, and there body. they are required. so since we know madara and his brother Izuna are dead, or at least died once. Where is Obito? and if tobi is him, when did HE awaken a rinnegan? and who died he kill to achieve the mangekyo sharingan? Remeber what we learned from Itachi, in order to achieve the mangekyo sharingan, yu must kill that who is closest to you. So hypothetically if tobi is obito. Then did he kill Rin, the medical nin he loved from team minato?
