well we havent seen madara in a real battle....so its really hard to say.
but i would say madara is since he knows nagato's "secret" with the paths

Well, I'd say that too, but knowing his secret gives you a tactical advantage, it doesn't necessarily prove your stronger.

Like others have said, we haven't really seen madara fight, so it's hard to tell. Right now I'll say pain, just because I know he's a beast XD.

If nagato could control the bijuus like madara did, maybe. But I see your point. Still, nagato never lost, and he took it to jiraiya pretty easily, jiraiya only destroyed 1 or 2 of his paths.

So it's not like nagato would have no chance. And keep in mind this isn't madara in his prime. Itachi said himself, madara is now just a shell of his former self.

Cuz madara is the (debatable) strongest ninja to ever live, and can transport dimensions and stuff, why would you risk getting your butt kicked fighting him. Especially when you don't know what hidden powers he may posess. And maybe nagato needed him for his plan, or wanted to use him. Maybe they made some sort of agreement that involves madara helping nagato. Who knows why he's following him....

Ok, I'm done defending pain lol. I'm only voting for him cuz I know he was one tough SOB.

Pretty sure it's Pein. Madara is a loser. (The show said it, those aren't my words.) Madara is great but against the power of Pein... I think he'd lose.

There both very deadly ninja. But madara could control the nine tailed fox. But Pain could have six paths. I think there almost even... Madara might be stronger though...

We don't even know its madara, In no way have we seen it to be madara, He knows the past sure, Could be izuna. Pein is stronger, Tobi is a good runner.

First of all, I want to congratulate the creator of this thread for making this one, this will be a good debate thread:

Ok, so it says "Is Madara Stronger than Pain"

We dont really know, since Madara's full power has not been showed yet by the author and furthermore it isnt confirmed if Madara gained Immortality.

I think Nagato's Six Paths is stronger, but I am not referring to Tobi nor Tobi's abilities.

Well, Having a Rinnegan means you're a very powerful Shinobi.
You can do whatever kind of jutsu you want, you'll have a six paths, you can control life and death.etc.

Nagato is A perfect reincarante of Rikudo Sennin, which means He and his Six paths is really powerful to create a massive destruction onto a village in just one shot.

While Madara, has only his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, which helped him control the kyuubi in his fight with Hashirama,, but he lose.

A question more similar to this "Is Hashirama Stronger than Pain?"
Pain stomps Hashirama.
Just a few blows of his Six Paths and his Wood Element will be just useless.

For now Pain is Stronger than Madara.

But here is a sure one:
Tobi is stronger than Pain

We can only say that Madara is stronger if he really is Tobi.

madara is strong because Pain is a Haxx and madara is an even bigger haxx plus he has sharingan which is a king of all haxxed stuff in the world.
