And If so, should parents be allowed to not have their children vaccinated?

This is an issue near and dear to my heart, so I will answer with all the knowledge I have accumulated over these past four years or so.

There have been instances of correlation, but that's only because the time Autism is detected is when children are young, around the same time a child gets his/her shots.

The IS NO SOLID EVIDENCE that the vaccines cause Autism; there is only speculation based on correlation.

It is socially irresponsible to vaccinate your children for diseases that can resurface previously repressed strains. Polio is an excellent example of this. A child who is not vaccinated, they may carry such a disease back from, say, a third world country in which Polio runs rampant. Then that disease would spread in the U.S., killing many who have also not been vaccinated.

Some parents take a slower, more cautious approach, and have their child get their vaccines at a steady pace. There is nothing wrong with this, because they still recieve the vaccine.

By not letting your child recieve a vaccine, you are, in fact, endangering your child more so than you would be if they got the vaccine.

He says that ItachiAnbu might like to know that a Federal Court officially declared this earlier in 2010.

Great explanation. It would be socially irresponsible for the reasons you stated. Since there's no solid evidence, you'd be putting the public at risk by allowing people to be susceptible to this disease. + rep
