For starters, this isn't the place to "respond" to your down reps either. Second, the fact that you're even bringing attention to your down reps clearly implies the complaints that you would obviously like to make about them, and it's just as annoying. Third, you've got a pretty solid history of complaining about downreps in some shape, way, or form and if this is really how you're going to be every time you get a downrep, I'll fix your down reps problem by dropping your rep faster than AT&T phone calls.

Key word is "might"; and notice, too, that it doesn't say the reputation points you MAY receive in turn are going to come from the user you just reputed, nor that they may be negative reputation points instead of positive. In summation, it is just a canned software response in the vein of well-faring.
