A majority of the people on this site are teenagers. Teenagers, including myself, tend to have mood swings. A responsible teenager still will do irresponsible things once and a while, guaranteed. That, and some people just aren't what they seem.

It really depends on whether or not they behaved or not, I've seen and noticed that most people actually have gotten it back, but that's just my observation.

I think he might of made an alt. account to do it again. Check out Akainu because I think he's Akira's alternate account. I personally beleive -rep for a good reason is constructive criticisome but some people are offended by it.

lots of people abuse rep now instead of giving it. in fact, the amount of rep being given has substantially decreased, whether you post a real good comment or topic, or not.

Rep was really abused on another forum I went onto, the administrator removed it, the reputation system is pretty messed up if you ask me.

The fact that someone had to make a thread about how people abuse the system means that there's a flaw. Hell, reputation serves no purpose other than aesthetics.

And then you have Rep swappers and those who derep because you don't agree.

First off, this is an internet forum that serves as a hobby for everyone;except the admins. Second, rep does serve as a moderately accurate gauge for measuring a member's attitude. I for one have not recieved a down rep for weeks; especially for people not agreeing with me.
I haven't read your posts,but you lose points becuase you're such a sour person. These forums are not required, neither is rep. If you take reputation away, there will always be a different gauge: the most most noteable would be post count.
