it doesn't matter now naruto is too strong to be called chunnin or genin he was the only one to be able to kill nagato.
sasuke is too dangerous to bring back in the leafe village and the ninja world agrees with this and i think naruto is is relising this also just like the other konoha 11 he too dangerouse and have no choice but too kill him even sakura agreed and she tried to kill him the only one who disagrees with killing sasuke is that pathetic excuss for a ninja name ino yamanaka. |

Well, years ago, I made the prediction that Naruto would remain a genin for the rest of his life, and I'm still not proven wrong. I also thought Naruto would become Hokage, but I'm not so sure about that now, he's getting too overpowered, is way beyond a Kage's level now.

Shikamaru was the only one who became chunnin in the exam that Naruto participated. They said that the result if the final matches wasnt the decisive point as it appeared to be (Shika lost in the match with Temari). And yes, Naruto is still genin but this doesnt affect his becoming Hokage (Gaara went straight from genin to Kazekage, remember?)

Of course Naruto is not a Chunin, he is the Sage of Mount Myoboku. Which means that his skill is greater than that of a Kage.
