Hashirama: A legacy too great for Naruto

At this point in the manga, Naruto has stated once that if Sasuke and him fought they would both die. The second time he stated that he wasn't strong enough to handle Sasuke.

Either Naruto is inferior or he is equal while Hashirama stood on top. Hashirama fought Madara at VOTE. Hashirama emerged the victor without the loss of his life.

There are two great powers within the Narutoverse. The Kyuubi and the Sharingan, and Hashirama had neither. It was Madara who had the cheap power-ups and gimmicks. Madara had Kyuubi in one hand and the Ems in the other hand, yet Hashirama stood the victor. Madara stole his brother's eyes and still he was the inferior.

When Itachi's power activates, Naruto's entire legacy will shatter. Naruto was not man enough to handle Sasuke despite having the Kyuubi as a source of power. If the Itachi power-up gives him control over Kyuubi, it proves Naruto was never man enough to handle it. If Itachi's power-up helps him against genjutsu, it proves Naruto isn't strong enough to break out of it himself. If Itachi power-up is a conversation with Sasuke, it proves Naruto couldn't convince Sasuke himself.

Hashirama was man who got it done on his own and lived to tell the tale. Naruto will have Itachi and Kyuubi, but in the end will only get a draw. He could never surpass his rival despite having Kyuubi and Itachi.

No, Naruto is not inferior to Sasuke and it's doubtful that he's Hashirama's equal. In fact, Naruto is just being a retard. He's saying that if he has to fight and kill Sasuke that he's going to make sure that he dies as well because he's a selfish git who's focused too much on Sasuke and has no concerns for the people that actually care about him.

He has, in fact, already surpassed Sasuke but he's not willing to do anything about it because he still thinks Sasuke can be saved.

well im just saying how madara with all these powerups cant defeat hashirama and yet sasuke only has EMS where naruto has the greatest power being the kyuubi and as you also know itachi's secert power will also play a siginificant part in the inevitable naruto victory

Sasuke doesn't only have the EMS. He's also got the benefit of Deus Ex Machina, which, based on everything we know about Hashirama and Madara, is something Hashirama benefited from as well.

Madara did not have his warping tech at the time he fought Hashirama

with warping and intangibility, Hashirma gets warped

from what has been shown in this manga, the only thing that can truly counter space/time techniques is other space/time techniques

granted there still is alot unknown about the full power of mukaton

i thought i heard somone once say that it was stated in the databooks that madara did not have his warping tech when he fought hashirama, althought the databooks are inconsistent, as was the source who said this

I haven't heard anything of the sort that can prove he didn't have them.

If they came from the databooks, well we all know how bad the databooks are =/

i am pretty sure that it was said in the databooks that he did not have his warping powers when he fought Hashirama, although i am not very familiar with the databooks myself and heard this from a few sources, most notably on the moviecodec lounge. i have seen scans of the databook there that verify this

however i am not sure if it is stated in the manga or not

It was in the Fanbook that also gave the Info on the Kage names and the likes.

However I only saw the translations from NF.
