I enjoy social drinking...as in after a week of work going out with friends for a few shots or beers is not bad.

However I don't agree with drinking alone, drinking consistently( everyday all day type thing), and getting completely wasted. I don't see any point in drinking past a buzz because all that gets you is a damaged liver, messed up stomache, possible alcohol poisoning, a gnarly migraine and no recollection of what happened the previous night.

Drinking responsibly and occasionally is not a bad thing, but when it becomes more of a habit and you lose sense of right and wrong due to overdrinking..I think that is bad.

I drink occasionally. I know my limit and never go beyond that. When I do drink, it's usually just when I'm around friends. I drink until I get a good buzz then cut myself off. Being the person to throw up at the party just doesn't appeal to me. xD

I've never had a drink in my life....I know, LMOA.....but I never had the time to drink or I had to be the DD for my friends, which is apparently every time. XD

i think it's bad u can get addicted with it and can never stop drinking,u make ur family worry,get arrested while driving cause of that,go nuts and etc.but if u just drink a little bit it's kinda ok,like in party's and etc.
DON'T DRINK WHILE U DRIVE CAUSE U CAN BE FINED BIG BUCKS,THAT'S ALL.

Alcohol should be enjoyed. Drinking to excess is really just stupid. Getting sick on alcohol is not a fun experience.

Of course, the worst I've seen is people that never drink and then start drinking. It's not pretty. Really if you decide not to drink, you are best off not to start at all.

Do you think cheap beer would still sell if people drank it for the taste?

That's for teenagers and college kids. That is the time to get blasted, when your body can still take it. If you ever want to get blasted that is.

I'd be more concerned about hurting others and/or myself from drunk driving rather than the money involved with a DUI.

Sadly, most of the victims who die in car accidents are not drunk drivers. I don't get it, but that mostly seems to be the case.

Well, it is okay if you are over the age. I mean, you get to decide. Only if your underaged it can cause serious damage.

Even if you are over age limit you can get brain damage ect.
I prefer not to drink.

Like I said...I'd be more concerned about killing SOMEONE ELSE or MYSELF than the money consequences from a DUI.

A lot of the people who die in crashes are those who are hit by drunk drivers.

If that doesn't bother you then I guess that's your choice.

There's probably a lot of stuff that will damage your liver like that if you
consume too much of it. If you don't drink so much you won't have to
worry so much about cirrhosis. Same as with if you don't eat so many
cheeseburgers you won't have to worry about clogged arteries and
one cheeseburger isn't going to clog your arteries. Instead of drinking
in "moderation" (which people may think is more drinks than it really is.)
people should drink sparingly and to enjoy their drinks. Drinks should
be a compliment to something you eat rather than itself be the main
course--that way you won't drink so much to fill yourself up.

and painkillers, too much eating, holding in your urine. etc...you don't have to drink a day in your life and can still have a damaged liver.

I don't plan on drinking anytime soon. Maybe when I can afford the good
stuff I will but then at the same time why not just save the money and
buy something that I can re-use---like more comics. Yaaaaaaaaay!!

If you drink then keen beans. If you don't drink then keen beans.

I'm not a social person so I don't really have to worry about being a social drinker. I can't see myself going to a bar ever and when I do see others
drinking I consider any temptation I have just me being thirsty and I'm
satisfied with just plain water.

Maybe I'll drink in the future. But I don't plan on it.

In the mean time I'll shorten my life span with good ol' Mountain Dew.

I think this post makes a good point. You simply asked about drinking. You never said drinking alcoholic beverages specifically (although I'm sure many people will read this and bother me about how when someone says drinking, it implies alcohol).

I personally approve of drinking water, juice, milk, tea, and sometimes coffee. I am opposed to drinking alcohol or soda, though.
