Itachi should win with little difficulty. Itachi can capture Minato in a Tsukuyomi, and exhaust him. Minato has shown no feat of Genjutsu defense, even though he's the Fourth Hokage. He has no base speed feats, so hitting him with Amaterasu shouldn't be too hard. Susano'o instantly blocks any FTG tagged kunai that Minato throws at him. The strength of Minato's Rasengan is unknown, so I can't debate with it. If Minato summons Gamabunta, Itachi can use Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, or he could seal Gamabunta away with his Susano'o's sword. Itachi's Fireball jutsu itself provides a wide range, which I don't think Minato can escape since he's shown so few speed feats. In fact, Itachi should be able to blitz quite easily considering Minato's few speed feats without FTG.

MK: Hmmm, it's a tricky question. As far as dead shinobis goes, then yes, he's the strongest. I'd say that Sandaime shares the number one spot with him. As far as living shinobis goes... well, without going into many details I'd have to say no. There's a couple of shinobis whose stronger than him.

I'm not sure whether Itachi was dead(Mar/April, 2008) by then or not. If he was, Minato got this -almost certainly.

As raikage proved speed is a perfect counter to Sharingan users. And Minato ought to have an excellent array of jutsus too. But again Itachi is one darn good shinobi with his MS techniques and all.

I lol'd so hard I threw up.

Itachi wins easily with feats. Susano'o can tank a Rasengan with ease. Lightblitz isn't really a BG term, and even if it was, Minato isn't near Lightspeed.
You technically can't stab anybody in the chest with a Rasengan.
This brings me to three conclusions. A. Minato wins by hype. B. Itachi easily wins by feats. C. You're on crack.

Those are minor feats compared to Itachi.

Minato lacks feats. They say he's fast but whether it's truly speed or merely one's perspective of Minato using FTG is unknown.

However, the fact of the matter remains that Itachi should be able to catch Minato in a genjutsu quite easily, and if he were to use Susanoo there is really no way Minato can kill it.

FTG relies on a kunai tagging the opponent, and it's highly doubtful Itachi would be tagged by a kunai of all things, as shown when Itachi and Sasuke weapon fought and the fact that Itachi has an advanced Sharingan.

man susanoo is good defense but what use is it if ur opponent moves so fast u wouldnt even know he moved at all till ur dead minatos speed cant be detected by itachi fast enough for susanoo to work and lets say he did put susanoo up just to be safe he wouldnt be able to hold it forever eventually he would have to let it down and in the instant he would die minato would slaughter itachi this isnt even a match and thats not even puttin into consideration the powers minato has

I understand you ppl keep saying that itachi would win because he has susanoo but yall need to really understand itachi has to be able to kno when his opponent is about to attack before summoning susanoo minato moves in the blink of a eye by the time he would have susanoo out minato would be inside of susanoo right beside itachi or in others hes far to fast for it and amaratatsu yall may not agree but this isnt even a match in my opinion idk whether minato himself or the stress of overusing his MS would kill itachi first because if he had to fight minato he would use it the whole match to survive minato far exceeds itachi and we dont even kno minatos full power even if he summon susanoo he eventually have to let it down because of strain of using it and would die once he does let it down itachis one of my fav characters but im not goin to dickride him and act like this is a match he could win
